If you are the kind of guy who is always moving around and isn't near a plug while his phone goes from 100% to 5%, and then you find a plug and need to be back at 100% in an hour and a half, then wireless charging is probably not for you. Of course, in that case, you should probably just go and get a second battery anyhow.
I would venture to say that most people don't fit in that category. Given how long the GN3 battery lasts, I would actually guess that almost no one really fits into that situation.
If you run your battery down to 5% during the day, and then come home at night, a wireless base is plenty fast enough to have it charged long before morning.
But the best use case is for the people who are sitting in a desk for a good part of they day. For those people, its much nicer to just drop the phone one the base for the time when you are sitting at your desk and then pick it up when you get up. Its less wear and tear on the phone, and if you spend any amount of time sitting, you will always be at 100%.
