I'm predicting the Spen silo is gone also. Samsung has been conditioning us for a few years by making the S series and note series basically the same with the Spen being the primary difference. People want bigger batteries, bigger cameras and far as I'm concerned the note 20U reached max size if not a little too big. That silo takes up a lot of valuable real estate. In reality the fold has more space then the others for a silo, they could maybe incorporate it in the hinge some how.
I used to be a critic of the S series and fold 3 not having the silo, but I'm rethinking it now. I bought some rinke loops and store my Spen by my chair and use it there. I never really used the Spen on the notes, but I use it a lot on the fold 3. It's bigger since it's not in the phone, feels like using a actual pen.
Final thought to why I think the silo is gone.. Samsung has been following apple on these things. Take the 3.5 audio jack and forcing Bluetooth headsets for the most part, taking the SD card forcing memory upgrades, now making the Spen accessories forcing you to buy it extra.. All making them money. Samsung sees apple getting away with charging for this stuff, why not Samsung.
Samsung has had the s series and the note for their flagship phones, there's never been any flagship phones between the 2. So if Samsung continues with the folds, the biggest chance for the note is to go in with the s series. Maybe the silo will stay and be called the S note, but I don't think it will be a standalone phone anymore, and I'm not holding my breath for the silo. I'm even coming around to no silo and I got people mad at me harshly criticizing the s21 not having a silo. For now I'll get the popcorn out and enjoy the show that's coming on this subject.
