Working Flash for the Q and probably the Slider...

Ok this is a working version of Flash for the Q and it should work on the slider. Just copy this .apk to your sd card and install it... enjoy.

Edit: When I made this thread yesterday I couldn't remember the NICK of the person who shared this .apk. I want to thank lifbrngr for sharing this with me.

my slider says flash player is installed but doesnt seem to work. i still get messages saying install adobe flash player.

What rom are you using, how did you install, and did you reboot the phone after? This is confirmed working on both the q and the slider.. it should work on all arm6 phones. How are you testing it? Are you trying to load a flash video? I can use crackle and sites like newgrounds with no problems.

Stock browser supports flash on the q so id assume same is true of the slider.

I can't remember which site I found this on but in the process of learning to root my LG Optimus Q I remember reading that the ARMv6 processors that the LGL55C uses simply won't support Flash like the v7 chips. Has anyone heard of this besides me? I am willing to try it out once I root my phone. Already downloaded the Adobe_FlashPlayer_11.0.1.152.apk.file too. Hopefully I root it soon, just trying to get over being scared! Never rooted a phone before as this is my first Android.

Edit: Rooted phone and tried installing this apk but no luck. Sites keep telling me flash player is not installed. I think it is because I am not using a custom ROM...

I don't think what you're watching are flash videos... flash requires adb root. The stock kernel does not have a ro.secure value of 0 (root). Once you set it to 0 flash works but the adb shell doesn't. We worked around that in arq v1.3, but it required an init.d tweak (something the stock kernel doesn't allow) and modifying the flash lib files. Meaning... I don't think what you're watching are flash videos.

But you're on a slider so I can't guarantee that.
