Xron-ified Android (alpha 3) - INSTALL THIS!!!!!

did this come with a custom version of netflix? I am not feeling an improvement to the video.

No improvement in Netflix and seem to have worse WiFi disconnects. Only solution is to turn off WiFi then back on. Sometimes only a reboot fixes it. It's there a fix for this?

I installed it, and noticed a few nice things, but it broke my Kindle app (wouldn't show books, just the splash screen, though I could guess were the books were and bring them up if I hit right.) It also caused some bugs in the Market, with multiple force closes and such. It also took a good bit longer to boot, both after install and a reboot. I restored my backup and am back up and running with stock a3.

I'm guessing that there are variations in the touchpads hardware because everything on my touchpad seems to work better now.

i installed xron over a fresh alpha 3 install with no wipe and yeah kindle only loads the splash screen and then quits. Sad because this is a great build otherwise. Thanks xron guy!

Regarding the broken Kindle app, I found mine broken too and have the solution.
Before installing the rom open the zip file and remove kindle from system/apps, together with any other app's you don't want then install the newly modded zip.

If you had installed xron before then after the above step you will need to go into app manager in android and remove kindle then go to the market and download a fresh copy.

Any one been able to get Hulu to work on this version. In alpha 3 I was able to install a modified version of flash and Hulu works great. It wont on this version, if I try to install my modified version of flash I get a "not installed" message.

this version broke netflix for me.

after I installed this with a clean wipe, netflix was out of sync who the audio.

the video would go all choppy right away and never caught back up.
restarting the all would fix the problem, but only for about 30 seconds before it would go out of sync again.

restoring my backup of the original CM7 alpha 3 fixed the issue completely.

Had issues myself with this X-ron version. Making setting adjustments for whatever reason seemed to take a long time to make. The system would stay stuck for what seemed like 20 seconds or so just to refresh the screen. Also, I lost wifi more with this version. Reverted back to A3 myself. :-|

this modified flash would it work for in browser slingplayer? I know there is an app for slingplayer but it's very choppy on this.

sorry for the stupid question I downloaded the zip file extracted it to the download folder on the touchpad and the only thing that shows up in the folder is the meta inf and system folders thanks for any help

Miksuper, put it in the cminstall folder on your TP. Then when you reboot, scroll down to CMM and install it from SD.

I tried to install the zip file without the factory wipe (to try & save myself the hassles) and it was very buggy so I then did it exactly as ncinerate stated with the factory wipe. It was very time consuming to reinstall my apps but afterwards, it's been worth it so far. It greatly increased the strength of wi-fi connections.Thanks for the heads-up ncinerate.
