Having played around with the new mod everything seems to be a lot 'smoother' than it was on CM7. I also think the factory reset helped.

Still use webOS as my main system but this is turning into a nice backup option :)

Yes,
I installed on 3.5 with no wipe and works great. Videi seems sharper, net flix works good, I have not tried Kindle yet. Highly recommend this, but be sure you get the latest version, as the original post download has evolved. I put on the version dated 12/3/2012.

Just installed the latest version, and it's working great! Seems much smoother than CM7 3.5

However I'm not a fan of the keyboard in the Xron build. It doesn't have a background, so you see whatever is on the screen behind it. Its a little distracting especially when I'm on a page with a white background (black keys with white appearing around them...). Does anyone know a way I can change the keyboard skin?

Using it now and so far very impressed. Either way, clean install has allowed me to cleanup stuff that have been plaguing my system and gives me a chance to start again and only use minor backups from previous builds or configurations when needed.

Update - just found the main reason to install Xronified for TouchPad....Gameloft games now work! The latest build allows direct access to previous Gameloft games that failed to install on CM7 Alpha 3 I had previously installed. Not exactly sure what is different about CM7 and Xronified, but I wasn't able to install these purchases previously reporting "System Incompatible - Request a Refund from the Android Market." Either way, I'm sure I'll have the same problem with games not quite scaling properly in TP 4x3 screen resolution, but at least they now load and I can give them a try. Installing Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation (downloading the 750mb of additional data) purchased a few days ago when on sale for .99 cents and will let you know how it goes shortly.

Woot...thanks Xronified for making this possible and I'll look forward to someone explaining why this now works. :) Thanks again, Sorli...

Update 2 - Gameloft games work perfectly on Xronified Alpha 3. :)

Yeah, and unless I'm not seeing it, how can one change the number of apps shown per page? 4x4 is too small for me.

Couldn't figure out how to do that yes the other suggestion of using Go Launcher is a good choice and so is ADWLauncher EX that provides more options, larger icons, and bunch of polish to almost every aspect. Sorli...

Update: Just realized how bad ICS Launcher is and spaces the icons very poorly compared to Go Launcher and the latest ADWLauncher EX. I fixed my problem by using ADWLauncher EX and downloading a ADW ICS Theme that presents very well. Icon spacing and size is perfect when displaying apps in ADWLauncher EX. For me it offers the most options even though the EX version requires some payment for full use.

Just my 2 cents, but I was not a fan on the keyboard either, I searched "keyboard" in the market and found a few apps. Currently I am runnings Hacker's keyboard and it works pretty well. There are a few others available, but this is the one I settled on for now.

On a seperate note, when my touchpad boots from Moboot to Cyanogenmod, I get an error that says the splash screen is too large for the display area. It does not seem to hinder the boot, it just pops up every time and I've had that error with the last 2 versions I've flashed. Anybody else have this pronlem?
Otherwise, I have no complaints, these roms have been fantastic!

I'm still running B1.3 and was going to do an update today. what's the difference between: XRONified_vB2.9_01012012.zip and: XRONified_vB2.9_ODEX_01012012.zip ? I guess the simpler question would be, what is odexing ?

The error Msg at the beginning is normal, i think you will have it if you dont have moboot 3.5 or at least thats what i was told as i only have moboot 3.3. I have an issue now that i have installed this, my flash is not working. when i do to websites to watch videos and click a movie to watch it just frezzes my internet and wont load the video. Never had that problem in 3.3.2

Moboot 0.3.5 =

'..Special release for those working with "Native Linux" builds.
Allows you to enable "verbose boot" option for boot images.
Note that this (verbose) option does not work with CyanogenMod.
Otherwise, the same as 0.3.4..'

~~~
Moboot 0.3.4 =
'..Adds TouchPad '4G' support..'
~~~

moboot - Mobile Open Bootloader for the HP Touchpad - Google Project Hosting

~~

Have 0.3.3 (testing version) here still.. and all Good still!
If in doubt or can't download, go to 0.3.4/5.

:)

Yesterday I installed Alpha 3 2.9 ODEX version latest released 5 days before.

Solved Wifi issue. Always see wifi connected to my router. Thanks. Great work.

About boot, Does it takes longer than CM 2.1? For me it takes about 90 seconds around where as 2.1 was taking only 20 seconds. Is it normal course?

I am running CM with the XRON and it all works pretty smoothly. Only app I need that I can't get working is logmein. Anyone else having a problem? It installs, but then I go to run it and it just asks me if I want to send the error report or not and bails back out.

It is the case if you installed the deodexed version because the odex files do not exist in the cache on initial boot. However your boot times will improve as you use the applications and they are added to the cache.
