Anyone know if the car dock works with this update. If it does it'll be the first jb build to do so with the s3

Just used the link to update my phone (Unrooted and completely stock) and it worked great with no issues so far. Well I haven't tried to make a call yet. :)

Now I can spend the day to find the updates and improvements.

Thanks to Skunkape60 and everyone else for finding the update and answering all of the questions.

Working great! Thanks skunk as always :)

I get the following error in stock recovery when I try to update via ext storage :

E: failed to mount /sd card (invalid argument)

The . zip file is on my ext card (didn't put in a folder). Any help? Thanks.

S3 on Sprint - 16gb pebble blue + 64

Sounds like your sd card is formatted to exfat file system. Recovery won't read exfat.

Man what a RAM hog. x_x

And I am noticing my battery heats up more easily. Nothing major though.

And aren't I supposed to have SNote and not SMemo?

Fixed mine! It was just a bad download. Redownloaded and tried again with geeat sucess! Very nice! ;-)

I am going to redownload again. Hope it fixes it. Never had a problem before with a manual update.

This is the message. Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped.

Settings / manage apps / see if you can find either android.process.media or com. android.process.media and clear data. Restart phone.

If it already updated it won't update a 2nd time. It will only update if you are on LI3

This will be the way to manually update your phone if you are:

Rooted or Unrooted - Stock Rom with all needed bloatware and Stock recovery.

Download the following update zip and place it on your external sd. Go to settings/security and make sure unknown sources is unchecked.

Shut off phone. Press volume up, power and home button at the same time. As soon as you see a flash, let go of the buttons. This will put you in stock recovery. Using the volume bar to select and power button to activate, select update from external storage. Choose the file you previously put there. Push your power button. Your update will begin.

And here it is at last....
UPDATE ZIP IS HERE! And yes it works.

When you say external memory card are you referring to a card that is put into the memory slot of the phone or a sub cable. Forgive me for my noobness and non rooting. lol

I would like to thank skiskilo and mdmitchell13 for continuing to search for this long after I went to bed.

I keep getting the same error message.

Error code (status 7): tmp/something/ storage folder.zip

I am rooted.
Sent from my SGS3!

E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)

Installation aborted.

That's what I get when trying to update after rebooting. There is also a dead android with an exclamation point dead in the background.
