Z3v Screen Protector Options

I got the tempered glass protector from version last weekend when I purchased the phone. So far it's great, no issues what so ever. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks.

How's verizons glass screen protector on showing finger prints n such? I got one for my phone when the z3v first came out and I love it except for the fact it doesn't seem to have an oleophobic coating. Curious if there better on that now

I bought this and I'm pretty happy with it. I had the Verizon one and it was a fingerprint magnet. This one is much better.

I agree. I finally received mine and yeah, the quality is leaps and bounds better. Doesn't fit quite edge to edge like the Verizon one, but thinner and MUCH higher quality. It barely attracts fingerprints unless your fingers are super oily/dirty.

Got mine a few days ago and put it on this morning. It is very high quality, is very smooth feeling and hardly any fingerprints.

Can't beat it for the price.

I use a bought a glass screen protector meant for a Z2 for around $6 on amazon, due to the fact Verizon didn't have squat for accessories when I bought the Z3v. It's held up very well, all the holes line up perfectly. The only catch is the size, as the Z3v is nearly identical to a Z2 except for being .8 mm taller, this results in a slight gap right at the bottom. I've never had any issues with this gap though.

I've used them when the z3v first came out and there not bad. They are thicker protectors then most other Plastic ones I've used but didn't not like the plastic feel when using screen and doesn't have that great of a oleophobic coating. Personally I'd say stay away from the plastic ones and just get a tempered glass one. Better feel, durability, quality etc. Amazon has two different tempered glass options right now, I'm using the tech film tempered glass and can say it's a great protector. Dropped phone many times naked with just the tech film protector on and the phone has come out mint.

I always use tempered glass on my devices. I find the feel to be worth the extra cost. Just be careful applying as a bad apply is expensive.

Has anyone noticed whether the Z3V has a factory installed screen protector on the phone - or is it exposed glass?

When I was putting a screen protector on my ZL a couple years ago I discovered that Sony had put a screen protector on the phone leaving the factory - which meant I was putting a protector on another protector. Fortunately, I caught it before completing the application. Thanks.
