I just got an extra phone for dev & testing so I would love to try out the ROM now. Let me know how to get it.

I didn't disappear guys; however, have been extremely busy lately. I will be gone for a couple of weeks starting Thursday. Anyone interested in the current state of the rom and helping push it forward, please blow up my pm box so that I can get you a copy in its current state before I leave. This is obviously for people who are interested in getting the radio working on ZVH. BTW, the rom runs just as smooth on ZVH as it did on ZVD. None of the screen issues with cm7. No battery charging issues from what I've seen etc. Let's get this radio working!

Just had to post from my optimus running cm7 w/zvh baseband. Everything noted in the first post is working great for me.

Ok, here's the results of my testing:

Installed 101411 build on 10/30
- Wifi works
- Touchscreen + multitouch works
- Accelerometer works
- Mic works
- Audio works
- Bluetooth works with media audio, but not phone audio (mic doesn't work)

So from the first post it looks like the next step I can help with is playing around with replacing .so libraries. I assume I take them from the stock ROM or maybe other kernel builds. Is there a good place I should look to help getting started? I am a Java developer, but have not done any device or linux development yet. If there is anything else I can do to help let me know.

Do you get unresolved symbols? I have done linux devel ... but not on android.

The CDMA radio and camera do not work. I believe all the rest of the hardware does work, though not 100% bug free.

Yeah that camera issue is a strange one. The camera DISPLAY doesn't work but it takes pictures just fine.

The CDMA radio is another animal altogether. I've been fighting with it for a while and so far haven't gotten anywhere with it. It's pretty frustrating really.

I MIGHT have an idea on how to fix the white camera display issue in the kernel (it takes pics just fine....), but the CDMA radio is the major thing.

drew - do you have some resources (ie links) that might help me understand how to setup an environment and hack on this? Is an extra device needed to work on these things? I know linux and c code very well, but i'm not very familiar w/ android's setup. i really miss my CM.

I don't know, but it is easy enough to roll back to zvd and use thekraven cm7. This is likely a low priority for that reason.

I sent someone an Optimus S phone so that work on ROMS could hopefully be easier...I haven't been able to see much lately since I have a pregnant wife and issues at home with my inlaws having to stay with us..but hopefully the phone was helpful in development in the future.

We're working on a bunch of crazy stuff right now. CM7 for ZVH has somewhat been put on the back-burner because of (a) the crazy stuff we're working on, (b) thekraven is doing an AWESOME job with the ZVD-based CM7 builds and (c) getting the ZVH radio working in CM7 is presenting a formidable challange. We're also getting ready to release an entirely new breed of ROM. It's not CM7, it's not MIUI and it's not based on the official ZVH software either.
