So they charge more for the 4G hotspot than 3G then? The 3G hotspot ($20 per month for 2 GB) was never part of my plan, it was just an option feature, like visual voice mail or other things that you could add on when/if you needed them, since it's never been part of my $29.99 unlimited data plan (for the phone). When upgrading to keep my unlimited data, I did not want to drop unlimited data to go for a tiered plan which included hotspot. I don't use much data, but then, my 3G phone has never really been that fast when using the Internet and streaming hasn't either (buffers). According to present Verizon site, I did find the following: "Extend the capability of your device—increase your data package with an additional 2 GB of data each month for an additional $20 per month, and enable: Mobile Hotspot–Using your smartphone, share your data allowance with multiple Wi-Fi–enabled devices. No additional drivers or software necessary." My question is will this still be available after they change on 6/28/12, even though my phone itself is grandfathered in? When I upgraded, there was no option to choose any wi-fi mobile hotspot feature.
