4G cuts out for days

I haven't had 4G status icon for days now, it has been showing up as 3G. I reboot the phone and all of a sudden my 4G is back! Why does this happen? I shouldn't have to restart my phone to gain 4G back, seems so buggy

Does the 4G speed stay the same with the icon changed or does the speed drop to 3G? Are you on a custom ROM/kernel? Have you tried any widgets to disable and then re-enable the 4G radio?

I am not rooted nor have I tried any widgets. It seems like the 4G icon at the top is replaced my the 3G for days until I restart the phone then the 4G comes back on to the status bar.

But does that mean that your speed dropped down to 3G status or does it stay at 4G speeds with the incorrect label in the status bar? And as for widgets, try using something like this program to toggle the 4G radio on and off. Using that widget/program may save you from having to reboot the phone.

Well it displays 3G but how would I know if it was still running 4G speeds? I will try the app you sent me
