Well I am visiting Disney right now and I was very curious as to how Verizon would work in the parks... And I must say I am very impressed. I'm sure they have worked with the parks to get microcells and such installed to help with capacity but no matter the time of day I had signal and great speeds. I never really saw below 40 Mbps down anywhere in the parks.

The below screenshots are from Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I'll be testing out Magic Kingdom tomorrow to see if it holds up. For how it's been though.. bravo on Verizon. I really expected it to be a congested hell hole lol.

Re: Verizon & Disney

T-Mobile had similar speeds
That's good to hear. One of my other mods said it was bad a few years ago. As I said in my OP I'm pretty sure Disney worked with carriers to setup microcells. It makes sense because it then helps their guests to be able to do things such as share photos and use the Disney app to GPS around the park.

Win for the carrier by the customer being happy with service and win for Disney since happy customers spend more. Haha :p.

Re: Verizon & Disney

Well Magic Kingdom is definitely the worst you could say of all the parks for Verizon... But it was still very good. I was able to do everything including video calls to family without issue.

Definitely am happy with my experience. This makes me happy so when I go more in the future I won't have to worry :).

Re: Verizon & Disney

That's pretty impressive... Last time I went to Disneyland, speeds were unusable in certain areas.. But that was also a few years ago. Looks like Verizon really improved since my last visit

Re: Verizon & Disney

It could be that Disneyland (Anaheim) has much worse coverage (or can't handle as much traffic) compared to Disneyworld (Orlando).

Never been there but I'm impressed.

Go to a music festival in a rural area if you want to see no cell service haha.

This was in Anaheim. So it could be a different experience here. But I would guess that they would use similar technology at both places. The load could be different though, but hopefully it is improved in Anaheim too.

Re: Verizon & Disney

I am visiting again. This is at Epcot so far. The 105 one was at the middle of the park (the big circle).

Re: Verizon & Disney

Well I'm home now. Looks like they're still performing well.

Hopefully one of my friends will go down with us one day to test another carrier.

Re: Verizon & Disney

Another update. I've been there a bunch but was just at Magic Kingdom and then Epcot yesterday. First was in the middle of MK and second was in the middle of Epcot. This was with my iPhone XS Max.

I am over the 22 GB De-pri threshold so I could be throttled if congestion was around but from the looks of it they are still managing it very well.

Re: Verizon & Disney

Went again last week. Still rocking even with the Christmas crowds. Here is each park.

Yes, Verizon has great coverage at Disney but unfortunately once you step outside of the park in some of the hotel areas off I-4 and Vineland road for example the coverage gets congested. There are some areas this past weekend where I could not even do a Google maps search because it timed out.
