Samsung s4 charging

AC Question

I've had my Samsung s4 for a few weeks now, no issues! I would charge it at night to ensure the battery didn't reach 0%; however, today I forgot my charger and it reached 0% and shut off. It is plugged in and charging (all I see on the screen is a big battery that is filling up with green) but I am unable to see my homescreen to text or use any functions.

Do I need to wait until it is fully charged, or is something else wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! When it hit 0%, the phone automatically shut down. When you plug it in, it starts charging, and you can see the battery charging icon, but the phone is still in a powered down state. I'd wait about an hour or so, then power the phone back on while it's still plugged in, if you have to use it. If you don't need to use it, just let it remain plugged in for about 6 hrs, then power it on and see if it's charged back up completely.
