You see, I can access my list of messages, but once I click on someones name it just pops up a loading screen and never takes me to my messages, eventually just going back to my message list. It's ticking me off so much since I'm in a long distance relationship right now and my phone is my main link to my girlfriend.

Are you using the stock messaging? If so I would try GO SMS that's all I use and never have any problems.
