Issues With Rooted Gingerbread

Overall, I do like the new Gingerbread OS, but I have noticed a few nagging issues and was hoping the Android Central community could give me some advice. Just so you know, I have gone ahead and did a few battery pulls ad I also did all the necessary wipes prior to installing GB.

Battery life seems to be pretty poor since I installed rooted GB. I've also noticed my phone heats up extremely quickly with very limited use. I could be just scrolling through my home pages and my phone will heat up like an oven a well as my battery life melting away at a much quicker clip then before GB. For example, just typing this message has my phone at over 100F and my battery dropping by the second.

I've also noticed GB must come equipped with an extremely aggressive task killer. It drives me nuts that every time I return to my home screen, my launcher reboots itself because apparently it was killed. Ans every time I go back to Dolphin Browser, all the pages must reload. Is there a way to change these settings? Btw, im using ADW EX and Dolphin HD browser.

Also, the phone seems to lag much more often now.

Finally, LED notifications are very erratic.

So, any advice for a fellow Android Centraler? Thanks so much guys. You're the best.

(BTW, phone is at 102*F after typing this and lagging hard).

I had GB running smooth, but I had to wipe everything a few times afterwards. I thought the battery life was about the same. I am stock for now.

You don't have any widgets underneath ADW on the stock launcher, do you?

Gingerbread has been fine for me, both stock and rubiX form.

I had alot of strange issues upon my first install of GB.
SBF'd back to .340.
Dropped GB onto the device.
Wiped/Data cache.
Began setup process.
Completed only signing into Google.
Then did a factory reset.
Reconfig'd device and it's been running quite well along with a lil bump in battery life.

running non-rooted GB and it's a dream. snappier than ever, no crashes/bugs/hangs, and EXTRAORDINARY battery life. its finally what the Droid X should have been.

I noticed that Adw Ex seemed laggy on Gb. I am running stock launcher, OCd to 1200 MHz, and getting far better battery life than I ever did on Froyo.

Dido, I can get home from work w/ 70% left on my battery (Pandora for 4 hours on wifi) and take it out for a 2hour bike ride using Endomondo app (GPS) and have 50% left even after that.

Now, if I have a very productive day at work (means not goofing off with the phone except for a few texts/calls), I'll have about 70% remaining before bedtime. That's right at 17hrs uptime. :)

Battery life in Froyo was good, but not quite this good.
