Samsung 4 - photos duplicated at least 100 times...what is the problem and how to fix?

I went in to my gallary and see that all my photos in the Camerra/Card files were duplicated at least 100 times. I had approx. 1000 photos and now there are approx. 97,732 photo. I have been trying to mass delete but long process. I also deleted some duplicates last night but some of those got deleted again. How can I fix and delete photos the best way. I don't want to loose the original pictures I took.

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried a cache clear for the photos app?
