Text messages not sending via google assistant.

This started today. In my car I ask google to send a text message. It asks who and what message is bit then does not ask to change or send it.
Same with doing it directly on my android phone.
Text messages will work manually when typed in and sent.
Anyone else having this situation?

You can try clearing data and cache then force stop the Google app will have to set up voice assistant again see if that helps

How long is the message? I had the same issue today (so might be a server-side bug) but I found that quick messages did go through, where as longer sentences just failed to register and the request timed out.

Here's what I was trying that failed: If I'm having lasagna tonight, which has mozzarella, should I add more mozzarella to the garlic bread?. Tried with and without punctuation, nada. Both failed. Sending each 'statement separately, however, went through.

(Yes, I'm adding cheese to the garlic bread because...cheese)
