I do have a question that I haven't been able to get answered. Whether one is charging the battery on the travel charger or charging the battery while in the phone, the green indication led signals that the battery is full. Does the phone or the charger continue to supply juice to the battery connection or does it shut down charging?
I don't have the G4 (yet), but I've done a fair bit of research on lithium charging. Chargers typically are designed to keep the batteries full, but lithium chargers will cycle the current on and off as needed. Once charged, it'll shut down (not trickle charge), then kick on again when the voltage drops below a certain level. It doesn't seem to matter if it's a phone or external charger, but leaving them fully charged/plugged in for extended periods of time can shorten their lifespan.
