Signal strength/ nbr of bars/ATT unlocked -question

I just got the UNLOCKED HTC ONE

Coming from the N4 I had a full set of signal bars..

I only show 2 or 3 bars max.. the n4 always had a full set..

I am getting LTE and all of the other data stuff ..and phone calls are coming in

Should I call ATT and give them the IMEI ...??

any other thoughts

i have the exact same issue with you here, my nbr of bars never go over the third one... but i found out that when i make phone calls, the signal bar is somehow full... still confused here

same here.. with full bars when on a call...

confused...

but love the phone

Sounds like it might not be anything to worry about. If everything is working fine and it's just one bar short; don't worry about it.

I'm no phone expert, but the 2-3 bars might be for the 4G LTE data connection, where on the N4 it was the signal strength of the HSPA+.
The signal bars going full when making a voice call could then just be a representation of the voice signal strength.

Like a said, not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I think the difference in number of bars shown has more to do with the different data connection to the network than anything else.
