I have had my phone now for only about 6 months and i dropped it one day, a piece of the outer shell came off along with the power button. The tab underneath still worked fine so i had just been pressing that. A few days ago it stopped working completely and then of course the phone ran out of charge so I am unable to turn it on. Tried taking it to vodafone and they quoted me £195 to fix it which seems like a crapload of money for a button. Does anyone know a way I can power the phone on or at least get all my files and things from my phone? it used to say something like "backing up data" so i assume theres somewhere all my pictures etc went?
thanks

Welcome to Android Central! If the power button is broken, you won't have any way of powering on your phone unless you fix it. You can't access data on a phone that's powered off.

Did you have HTC Sync installed before? Or some other backup app, like Verizon's own Backup Assistant Plus or Verizon Cloud?
