I have a droid turbo, wanting to know if I can make my icons smaller

I prefer smaller icons, but not finding on my phone, if possible to do so, to switch to smaller.

To do that you'll need a custom launcher from the Play Store.

If you use the paid version of Nova Launcher you can change the icon size on the home screen and in the app drawer. Some other launchers probably have the same setting, but I've been using Nova for so long that I can't remember how any of the others worked.

Another vote for Nova Launcher. Not only can it make icons smaller, but you can also add extra rows/columns to your homescreen and app drawer as well.
