Pixel 7

Apparently, cases have leaked for the Pixel 7 Pro. An interesting design, but based off the images shown in the video, it looks as though the Pixel 7 Pro will have a curved display. Fingers crossed that the smaller Pixel 7 will have a flat display -- or else I may be skipping the Pixel 7 line. 😭

Not a rumor any longer.
The P7PRO will be my pick.
I like the new aluminum camera bar that appears to be integral with the aluminum frame. Not all that thrilled over the curved screen edges of the P7Pro but I've learned to live with the curve screen of my P6Pro so no learning curve needed.
The soft touch glass back will be welcomed, eliminating the slippery watermelon seed effect of the P6 series. I might go without a back case, though a screen protector will still be a must.
I'm looking forward to seeing what improvements and new features the Tensor 2 chip brings.

I was JUST about to post about the I/O 2022 event! I too am a little worried about the curved edges on the 7 Pro. I'm hoping the smaller 7 won't have them, but I'm also wondering how the cameras will differ. I may actually do the unthinkable and get the Pro if needed! I am very excited, and the photos look amazing!

The P7 won't have curved edges, just as the P6 doesn't. I'm willing to put up with the P7P curved edge screen to get the added camera zoom lens. I use that alot.

I may have to suck it up and go big or go home with the Pixel 7 Pro. As much as I love small phones, I truly want the best camera technology. I do zoom in a lot with photos. I just hope Google will make good screen protectors that won't curl up in two weeks! Do you have the Pixel 6 Pro? How are the screen protectors holding up?

The vinyl screen protector on my Pixel 6 Pro is holding up real well. It's several of months old. I do have a back case on the phone so the protector vinyl edges are protected.

So it looks like they did away with the 2 tone color schemes? I kinda liked the 2 tone effect.

I didn't expect it. Then I was pleasantly surprised. Then they take it away. Kind of the history of google.

They probably realized they wouldn't sell as many of their "official" cases if they made a phone you could actually hold on to lol.

No way! That IS really sad.
I agree. Google's refusal to listen to the majority of users' views and complaints about the slippery glass back of the P6 series is very frustrating. The supposed soft-touch glass back was well received news by commentators and many users. Now that happiness has been dashed.

Thin case either way won't really impact my phone buying decision...I don't like these phones being naked with camera bumps and all ..

That's really not an issue for me either.
I would admire the back for about a minute as I was putting the case on it.

Thank you for your real-life review! What brand is the screen protector? Hopefully I will have the same kind of luck if I go the Pixel 7 Pro route!

Pictured is the brand of screen protector I have on my Pixel 6 Pro. I purchased it in early November and it has never needed replacing. I purchased it from Amazon Later I bought the Whitestone Dome glass screen protector but just haven't felt the need to go through the trouble of peeling the TPU off and installing the glass one.

OMGOSH YES, I remember loving that colour and wishing they'd made it available for the smaller Pixel 2 as well!

They should offer it as a regular color choice on all models of pixels... it's a classic beauty, I think it would always sell well. It seems like Google never keeps their popular color choices around for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
