I have a Verizon N4 variant, and I've noticed that there's no settings to enable proximity sensors during calls...am I missing something? I had the proximity sensor option on my S4, is the note different?

I'm having a problem with my Note 4 not turning screen off during calls. My ear ends up switching phone to airplane mode disconnecting my call. Is there a setting or an app I downloaded that changed the proximity sensor?

Did any one get this sorted? I have a Note 4 running 4.4.4, my Proximity Sensor for some reason is not working.
I cannot find a setting to turn it on or off.
When I do *#0*# and bring up all the test modes, when you click on Sensor, its brings up the scales to see whats working and whats not.
When you hover you finger over the sensor the screen should go Green. to prove that it works.. Mine does not.

Any thoughts?????

I had a bad proximity sensor on an old phone. You can try to blow air into the top ear piece to dislodge dust interfering with the sensor. If that doesn't work, then you should send it back to the carrier or Samsung for warranty

Hi.. Excuse my ignorance but what does blowing air into a speaker have to do with a electronic sensor?
They are not the same unit.
The proximity sensor is one of the 2 black dots at the top next to the speaker....

When you place your fingers over the sensor, the figure are supposed to change and the screen goes Green... mine dont.

I wonder if the sensor has crapped out or its a software problem? Any Note 4 sensor specialists out there or repair people that confirm its a common thing????

You can try a factory data reset. If that doesn't work then probably a hardware problem
