Damaged Screen, Hard to tell what parts are broken?

I dropped my phone face down a few days ago. I picked it up and unlocked it, initially the screen was purple and blue, with streaks of light that resembled cracks. I fiddled around with the phone, everything still working fine, just oddly coloured screen. I made the mistake of pushing on the corners of the screen, thinking maybe something just came loose and needed to be pushed back into place. Now, the screen isn't coming on at all. Phone still boots up, when i push the back or menu buttons the phone makes a water drop noise. But when i touch the black screen nothing happens. How ruined is my phone? Am i looking at needing to fully replace it? Buy one of the replacement digitizer and screen kits online? Or going into my telus store and getting it looked at?
