Why does the voice recognition not work like it used to for texting?

I LOVE to talk-text, but it only works intermittently now. I wonder if I should use another app to do it?

Sometimes I'll say a few sentences and look at my phone and it's not recorded a thing. I noticed that 'sometimes' if I let it set, the words will catch-up, but other times, it doesn't record a single WORD! grrrr
