Sorry that you have been doing the manual update. Have you rooted the phone (if you dont know what that is then you didnt do it.)?

They usually post the software updates to the site after a week (they did for BBs not sure of Android since this is my first).

I just got the update prompt at 10:24 on a Saturday night. I was being lazy and hadn't done a manual update yet.

At the end of the week i will be heading to verizon to see what they can do about my 5 hour a day battery life. This is brutal.

What did they tell you? I'm having the same problem...

i'm also seeing worse battery life with this update. i charged my fone all night and got 6hrs out of that charge.

I just noticed 2 items that I don't recall being on the DX before the update:

1) In the video camera, there is now a "scene" for "concert." I don't remember seeing that one before. It to help minimize microphone distortion when recording at a loud venue.

2) In the phone ring tones, I don't recall seeing the "bell phone" ringtone either. I may have missed that one, but it seems new.

What did they tell you? I'm having the same problem...

My battery life was BRUTAL after the update. I would be in the yellow by 3pm with use, and it would die completely if it just sat idle. I finally swiped my X back to factory, problem solved! I'm back to about 13 hours of heavy use.

Perhaps a factory reset is needed after the update?

My friend has been having terrible battery life before and after the update, and today it started freezing and locking up. Fortunately he called Verizon the other day and should be getting a replacement tomorrow.
