1.13.604 Update -- Discuss Here (Read Post #1 First)

Battery life is much better than it was. Don't know why or how. I probably burnt 45mb, all sorts of browsing, and los of texts today and I'm just getting into 60%.

I would have to agree with the battery life being much more stable! I've ben on my phone since 9, listening to music while sms and tapatalk and still at 90%

Daaaamn!

Only 42% for the display?

Mines up in the 80%-90% range and been like that since I got it.

Touch and hold a screen. It will prompt you to add something, click widgets. Find the Power Control Widget.

Add that. You can adjust the screens back light. I keep mine on the lowest unless in sunlight.

Smart Mode with Auto Brightness and 15min Timeouts for both Peak and non Peak

I had mine set to Smart Mode with 30min timeouts and 25% brightness. I'm changing to 15min and 20% brightness so we'll see if anything changes but with that small of a change, I doubt it. Maybe I just need to stop using my phone so much, LOL (not happening). I've been using it A LOT!

put the brightness to auto using the sensor- its kinda kew, indoors its dim 20% ish and when u go out side its 100%...

I might try that but I figured just using a low percentage would help things out but I'll give that a shot to. I'm probably just draining my battery from using it so much. Texting, while it constantly plays music (music & Pandora) through the headphone jack to a stereo all morning long doesn't help (neither does browsing all morning).

Yeah, I use Quick Settings so I just adjust my screen brightness that way. I keep it at 20% now and when outside, I'll flick on 'auto-brightness'.

BTW, sorry for turning this into a battery thread again, I know it's supposed to be about the update. My bad.

ur gonna be like FML i cant see my display when you go outside in the Sun... yes its sunny here in WA... lol

Sure has been lately  and I just turn on auto-brightness when I hit the sunshine.

But considering as much as I have been using the phone, I have noticed that the battery life is holding up really well and the update took care of the false readings for me. I've tried a couple power cycles to see if the percentage changed and it stayed right where it should have. That's a nice change from when a power cycle would give me anywhere from 30%-50% more battery life.

At the end of the week i will be heading to verizon to see what they can do about my 5 hour a day battery life. This is brutal.

Interesting...before the update I had a terrible time with the screen being too sensitive to scroll. I would select things much of the time when trying to scroll, no matter how softly I tried to do it. This was driving me nuts. After the update the problem is completely gone. I can scroll with reckless abandon now!

My apps screen is a bit jumpy though. It doesn't scroll very smoothly. I tried rebooting, but it's still a bit jerky. Hopefully, it will correct itself. We'll see tomorrow.

1.13.604 Update Available for Manual Update

Manual update to .604 is available if you go to About Phone -> System Updates. The system will "pull" the update down from VZW, so you don't have to wait until it pushes out to your phones. Verified this with 2 of our demo phones today and with a walk in customer's phone. Have at it!
