2.1 Lite!!! Option 4

beezy420,

Nice job on the option 4, I installed it yesterday and runs smoothly.

On the other hand, I added the voicemail and sprint nav without wiping anything. Should it be an issue?

Got a message today from the Google team congratulating me on my Nexus One purchase after installing 2.1 LMAO, anybody else get that message?

Themes are pretty easy, sometimes. If you need help just let me know.

Actually, i do kind of have a question. I like the Sense UI, i have no desire to run OpenHome or Panda, but i'm not sure how else to run a theme? My boyfriend has the moment and is running the 2.1 leak for that phone, and then on top of it, he has a cool theme with this helix bar at the bottom (no matter what screen you are on, there are 4-5 icons that stay on every screen) but it's also a font thing, and there's a couple of other tweaks.

I don't even know if I can do what I want... am i making any sense?

Usually you can just flash a theme like you do a rom.

but it isn't the same thing as a rom right? n00b question i know, but a theme goes over your rom?

beezy you are awesome!! I love that you can just pick out little bits and pieces. DOING IT NOW.

I agree, they have done a fantastic job on simplifying the process of rooting and upgrading to a new ROM. I've actually been trying all kinds of new things with my Hero since rooting it.

So, when i install a mod or an add-on, is there an easy way to remove it if i don't want it anymore? Other than restoring to my most recent backup? I wouldn't mind except restoring takes a bit of time...

making a nadroid backup right before you flash.Other then that you could flash the stock version of it back if theres a zip for it.

Holy crap why did I wait so long to jump on 2.1 its so much better than the stock 1.5. Huge thanks to beezy, gbhil, and rufflez for all the hard work they put in that makes it easy for the rest of us to root and get all the latest and greatest updates without waiting for sprint and HTC to release. Happy as can be right now, keep up the great work!:D
