I would say try it.It couldn't hurt.Just back android backup just incase you have problems flashing it.Im one of the lucky ones that doesn't have the problem knock on wood.
Its suppose to able to just flash it over,if it bootloop then just wipe and it should be fine.

i can't seem to "mount" my device. i direct the comp to the tools folder using the command line but the remount doesn't work and even "adb devices" shows no device listed. i am pretty sure i am rooted properly as i am able to reboot into recovery, flash roms, etc... any suggestions?

Try turning on USB debugging, sometimes that shuts off. Settings--> applications--> Manage Applications--> Development. Most likely this is the cause.

i tried that but what worked was updating the HTC Sync and leaving it in that mode when connecting it to the comp. thanks for the quick help though!

i can't stand drivers... when i first did this, everything seemed to work but recently, the driver update/install status seems to fluctuate. is it known why this information can go in and out or seem to simply disappear?

I just flashed one of the audio patches. I'll let you guys know how it went after some testing.

anyone else having haptic feedback problems? I cant turn it all the way off. It is still on while typing, and I have it set to 'off'
Next question is where do I get a hero version of swype? I tried dling one and i think it was meant for the N1, because it said screen size was wrong.
You have to turn it off in two places under settings>keyboard and with the keyboard open go to the gears setting in the lower left corner and uncheck it there too.

I know this is probably a small deal but i got really used to seeing the photos for all linked facebook contacts in my "People." There is some sort of bug with the HTC for Facebook that doesn't allow me to link profiles for contacts whose names are after the letter "J" ...? Any ideas?
