2150 mAh battery and I LIKE IT!!!!

Well I had a 8% drop as soon as I unplugged and turned of airplane. Plugged it back in only took 10mins to fully charge back after that phone only dropped 1%.
Here's a fun fact. I charged my 2150 today. After the green light came on I unplugged. At 100%. 2 hours since unplugged and still at 100%.

Where's the drop 10% in the first 20 minutes bug? It isn't there..........

Some problem as stock battery door. Still flex pops on side. God do I hate cheap plastic backs. I am having trouble adjusting to the hump on the back

I have the same thing as a problem on mine. I fixed it by ripping some post it notes and folded them into solid little squares. I inserted them where the plastic side flexes under the battery door.

Anything that fills the plastic will work.

I'll take that back. Yesterday after the greet light came on (phone is always on) I unplugged. The phone stayed at 100% for quite some time. Last night I charged, this morning I unplugged and it immediately dropped to the mid 90's.

HTC better fix this schizit.

I could care less if they fix it or not. I'm not installing the update because I guarantee you that if I do and I'll lose root access! If you're rooted I'd just live with it until the Dev's get full root access and start pumping out custom ROMs

I'm not rooted, could careless about rooting. HTC needs to fix this regardless if you're rooted or not.

Well 9 hours my battery is at 5% should last longer but I was hard on it. I did a complete wipe started all over just so I can have swype working. I can't wait to get the Droid X. Is it July yet?

IF they issue an update for this or for any other reason they will patch the loophole that the devs found allowing us to root our phones. You may not care but I'm willing to bet that more than 90% of the people on this forum care. Personally I'd rather deal with the battery dropping to 90% than not have root...

I was able to run this new battery down to 29% in 13 hours, lets see how fast it hours from here..wo who knows I might have to get that big ass 3500.

LOL.......They should use you for the battery tester for all new devices so they can get the right one, right off the bat.LOL

Every new battery that comes out I will try..i just want to run all day. I was wyoming outside today with the pandora running for a good 5 hours on.so this just might make it.

Regardless, I'd rather have a fully charged battery than root. The phone doesn't work without battery, it does without root.

Just think how fast you could run down the stock to 29%. 3 hours, 4 maybe? You're at 13 hours and still have 30% left? Most people aren't awake that many hours a day.

Yeah if you are complaining about 13-15 hours of battery life, lol. I agree with most people not being up that long too, my 1750 under heavy use goes for 10 hours respectively when I'm done with it for the day. By then I still have 15-25% left on the battery.

You know, it has me thinking. When the phone stops charging (once it reaches 100%), maybe the battery starts getting used with all the synching during that period and that's why it needs to get unplugged then plugged back in to "top it off", esentially forcing the phone to start the charging process again. This makes sense as people who turn their phones off to charge do not run across this problem...

I think you're right dmcman. I charge mine powered on at night & use it still plugged in when I wake. I have to unplug it, and plug it back in to top it off as you're suggesting. Once unplugged before topping it off I have to put it to sleep or the light stays green. (Stock battery, 2150 will be here Wednesday.)

Is everyone still "bump" charging with the 2150? Something odd happened with my battery yesterday... It was dying at the rate of 10% in less than an hour with moderate to light use... I have no idea what happened...

After I noticed I was only going to get like 7 hours on a full charge, I plugged it back in and charged the battery to green, with power on, the shut down the phone and put it back on the charger still powered off... It stayed orange for just over an hour before I got green again...

Here's an interesting thread in the EVO4G section... Particularly the first post, and them someone else's post near the end (which is still awaiting outcome of his test)...

http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g/18215-why-your-battery-drops-10-15-first-20-minutes.html

It appears that once the HTC chargers, and I assume the same basic circuitry is in the DInc and Evo, recognize what it thinks is a 100% charge, it shuts down external power to the phone. All of my old phones would kill power to the battery charge circuit, but then have the phone run off of the external power source until disconnected...

Could this "switch" not be present in HTC's design or could it be defective?

I'm bump charging it every morning, I let it charge normally (powered on) overnight and then when I wake up while I'm getting ready, I power it off and charge til green - the "topping off" is taking about 30-45 minutes, with the 1750 it was only taking about 15.
