7 days and this EVO LTE is going back!

When using GOSMS on the original EVO, the app automatically synced Facebook pictures and there weren't any issues. With the new EVO LTE, none of the pictures are syncing at all. I don't know if this is an issue on the GOSMS end or the EVO's end. I'm hoping that it gets fixed soon because it looks horrible when talking with people and not seeing a picture. Yes, this is a minor problem, but still annoying.

Ok things are getting overheated here for no reason. I don't think people who come here and say their phone is running fine are trolling they are stating that they are not having the same problems as some are. Now I've read some of the comments and not all but some have leaned towards trying to convince others that this phone is bad and suggest sending it back to make a point. Hey if there are certain things that you don't like about the phone then take it back and go to the forum for your new phone just don't try and convince others to join you. Let everyone make up their own mind. The great thing about android is we all have options if this phone doesn't work for you then hey take it back. But both sides need to chill out if your happy with your phone like I am then stay happy and if your not then take yours back and pick something that does work for you.

Ice

That's exactly my point you don't like the phone great for you but don't try to force second thoughts on the users who are happy, you want an iPhone over the evo go to I more you want a GS3 go to the Samsung forums, state what your issue was and keep it moving stop trying recruit others to follow you

how does the thread not apply to me? do i have a Evolte? Yes, DO i have multitask? Yes, Do i use my phone? Yes. Arent the point of forums for people to discuss and for user to share their experiances? so users looking to buy the device can get both sides of the story? or is it to complain? some people here are having multitask issues some arent. and im a troll because i posted that i am not having multitask issues so Mercury81 must be a troll as well

You are trolling because you went into a topic about problems and said "got no issues" even calling the issues BS. Others on the same topic have gone far enough to say people don't know how to use the phone when they have issues. You could have started a thread "no problems here, love my phone." Instead you jumped into a topic to combat and dismiss issues people are having.

or is it because i called BS on the people saying A. i cant finish a download if i move on to another application or B. saying i cant start writing a text go to another app then go back and finish writing my text. because these problems are in fact in the oneX but the Evolte doesnt have the same agressive multitasking as the oneX.

yea the multitasking is still agressive but nothing like the oneX can the multitasking be better yes it can but to say you have to say in the internet window to finish a download because if you change screen's itll cancel or you have to finish the text because if you change screens it'll erase is not true it takes alot more then changing to 1 other app. and that is what im calling out.

My experience is VERY similar to the problems people with the One x are having. My dropbox exports do cancel the moment I leave the screen, I do have to retype the text. And apparently I am not alone.

So we shouldn't warn people against possible issues? I am not trying to recruit, I am trying to explain the problems the phone may have so that people understand them before they buy, or notice them before they cannot back out of the purchase.

The thread title is pretty specific, if you don't want to read about it, don't open the thread.

I guess your a skimmer not a reader I'll state out once again...

If you have problems with your phone post it that's what forums are for but do not try to call me a troll when I'm pointing out far fetched posts as ice said there are some posts here that are simply not believable and calling me a troll because I'm saying someone obviously BSing of where you lose me at, I'm here just like many others to help people out and give my opinion, but sadly there are people here that just want to cause confusion and lie about issues and when I see that or feel like that's where someone is coming from I will confront them about it

But the examples you keep bringing up (file transfer's stopping, and losing text when changing screens) are the EXACT issues I am having. So I am calling you a troll for not believing me the MULTIPLE times I have tried to explain that to you.

But I am not talking about your example I'm talking about the guy that said as you add he pressed the home button the file he was downloading on the Web just canceled and about the gut who tested the multitasking by starting a text then pressing home then going back to the text and it was gone. Those are obvious not true because I've tested it I downloaded a file hit home and my file downloaded and I stated a text hit home and went back to the text and out was still there. I didn't say your issues were false but those two are

It happens seemingly when the phone is not used for a while. I don't know how long- 30 min? an hour?

Yes, it is very crappy that HTC would do that, when there is a setting addressing this and they simply ignore it and do whatever they want. I suspect it is part of the reason for such incredible battery life- just break a core functionality.

Are you stating that even changing this in Settings>Wi-Fi> MENU> ADVANCED> KEEP WI-FI on during sleep>choosing option NEVER(increases data usage) , still forces the wi-fi to sleep at some point during the night???

How about if we all take a step back for a minute and accept one very simple fact? There are issues with this device, but they are inconsistent, they don't turn turn up on everybody's Evo but they are there for some. So how about if all stop talking in absolutes, there are room for good and bad experiences here at the same time.

You have to stop this nonsense. Not every phone is identical. Not every user is identical. If you can't concede that someone is having a different experience than you with the same device then you don't understand the point of these forums. I haven't had issues with the multitasking like others here have, but I have seen it on my phone. It just hasn't been that much of a nuisance for me. But I don't pretend that it doesn't happen. I certainly don't tell people that have a real problem with it that they are liars. Now, I absolutely have had texts that were being composed disappear if I leave and come back to them. I just did it to test it out.

Also, change your signature - your phone isn't stuck at Customs anymore. That's called "lying".

My point is it is not happening on your phone. That doesnt mean it isn't happening to others. For example, my wife's EVO LTE rarely ever reloads sense, mine did do it occasionally until I switched to Nova. Other people have it happen much more often.

It boils down to my point that just because yours works doesn't mean everyone's does.

I tried saying that earlier only different maybe people will respond better to your words.

The thing is that there is practically an infinite number of app combinations that people can have on their phones so just because your setup works how you like it doesn't mean is the same for one guy or the next. Without knowing the exact combination of apps on a given phone, your individual experience cannot debunk what someone else is experiencing. It's like someone coming in and saying they get three days use out of the battery.

On top of that, most of the people experiencing issues in this thread are coming from either the OG Evo, the Evo 3D, or both, and easily recognize the behavior of the LTE is very different.

I don't understand why you are insistent that people are making things up. People for the most part aren't knocking the device; they're stating an obvious software issue in hopes of getting it rectified.

In my case, I'm coming from a low-end phone with terrible specs (Optimus S) that could still run ICS (a hacked, patched, tweaked, cobbled-together CM9 port) just fine and still multi-task as we all expect. So I know for a fact that it's a Sense 4 issue, not an ICS issue. It was pretty apparent to me fairly quickly that the behavior of the LTE was not in line with previous experience, and is frankly disappointing given that I have experienced ICS working "properly" on much lesser hardware. It's a good thing that rooting and flashing is so easy ;)

If you are happy with your phone, or you have (or think you have) working multitasking, then enjoy your phone and stop arguing.

The issues with Sense 4 multitasking not working are well documented on countless websites, videos and the fault has been admitted by HTC. So people can come in here and shout 'my phone is fine' and it doesn't mean anything. When the company that makes the phone admits the design flaw, then you accept it.

I have an Evo 4G, I used the One X and the LTE in the store and immediately saw the problems. Sense has always had the dreaded 'reloading' problem, and its not unique to this phone. Even the international GS3 will reload the launcher.

But the broken multitasking, it's enough to stop me from upgrading.

I went into a Sprint store today and they confirmed that there is no multi taking issues with the Evo4GLTE. I asked if they were getting complaints and the csr stated no sir "We have not received one complaint". I'm not the only one who agrees that there is no issue.

Well that settles it. I will tell my imagination to stop making up things at once. And when I literally do the same tasks side by side with my EVO 3D running Sense 3.6 ICS I will tell my imagination to stop inventing the very distinct differences in the way the LTE makes the experience worse than the 3D does.

Oh, and if everything someone who worked in a phone carrier store said was true, the world would be one disastrous place. I've heard some of the dumbest things ever uttered by a human out of their mouths.

Are you serious?!?! No wonder people are getting pissed and irritated. Your comments point out the exact reason. If there was no issue than why do we have 8 pages saying otherwise!? Not to be mean but that was a pretty moronic statement you made

Yeah, I think people are pissed because the EVO LTE was supposed to be a great phone, the best yet, but it's worse than the EVO 4G was when it was released (comparatively at the time), and the EVO LTE is worse than the EVO 3D is right this minute. Meaning, on June 12, 2012, the EVO 3D is a better device than the LTE.
