AKG Headphones with Note 9 Behaving Erratically

The AKG Headphones that shipped with the Note 9 do not work properly when plugged into the phone (I tried them with my GS7 and they worked fine). It starts out sounding fine, then the volume starts to fluctuate (as if the buttons are being pressed) and when I try to change the volume manually with the headset buttons it will only decrease. Other plug-in headphones don't seem to have any functionality for volume and pause/play buttons when used with my Note 9.

Same here. Phone act wild on its own when headphones plugged in.
