No more force 90? WthSince El Googs removed the force 90 from developer options, I turned on show refresh rate and I see the when the refresh rate changes from 60/90, my screen flickers... P4XL

Yep yep to shape. I will say then beta 2 the Android messenger beta chat bubbles are much more consistently reliable. Each conversation isn't crashing nearly as much or at all. And you can have more in a row than before in beta one.Not had any issues on Pixel 2 XL with beta or dp. Seems nice and smooth to me and finally message bubbles. Yay!!
The only thing I've noticed with both messenger and FB messages bubbles, I get notification on the app icon staying even after I've read the message. I have to go back into the app(s) directly, click on that conversation, and then the notification icon disappears. Defeats the purpose of the bubbles if I have to go into the app anyway.Yep yep to shape. I will say then beta 2 the Android messenger beta chat bubbles are much more consistently reliable. Yea bubbles have definitely gotten more buggier in beta 2 but it is a beta so we will see come release candidate and or beta 3The only thing I've noticed with both messenger and FB messages bubbles, I get notification on the app icon staying even after I've read the message. This was happening in first beta too. Only in second beta is the chat bubbles working for messenger.Yea bubbles have definitely gotten more buggier in beta 2 but it is a beta so we will see come release candidate and or beta 3![]()
Yeah I agree. I mean every now and then I'll have a running conversation for me and messenger crash but that happens much much less at this point. I'm able to keep a ton of conversations open up but once in bubble now. A lot of applications seem a lot more reliable now. And stable. This was happening in first beta too. Found my first annoying bug. I can't get it to stay with Nova as my launcher. If I go to any app and get out of it, pixel launcher defaults. I have to hit the home button then it goes back to Nova.
I forget where in settings it is to set launcher.
How I fixed it was going to Nova settings and then select default launcher. Choose pixel launcher, save it and exit Nova.I am still seeing this on beta 2 and yes I have set Nova as default in settings.

Now swipe up for recent apps, go back to Nova select default launcher and this time choose Nova. Save and exit.
Should be good at that point.
Try restarting Nova and see if that helps. So far no issues going home here on Nova.I'm using the stock launcher as on the latest beta Nova launcher seems to have taken a hit for me ...it has a delay at times when coming back to home from another app...bubble chat for messages I know I can long press bubble and drag to X at bottom but is there a better way just to flick it away ?
