I mean hopefully it does stop after a while. I thought fully cycling the battery 100% would fix it. But we shouldn't have to do that. Like I said, this wasn't in the regular beta 2. That's why.
Btw: Have you tried turning on DND using Assistant?

Yeah, like I said, I usually just toggle do not disturb mode on/off through the quick settings toggle. Not through assistant for once. Lol.
You could of course test it and submit a bug report to help others who so use Assistant and routines.

My battery life has settled down a lot after a reboot earlier this morning. Still have the disappearing status bar when playing music and no notification dot on the messages app. But all in all beta seems to be running okay

To try to see if the Assistant/Do Not Disturb is an issue for other Pixel models I'm asking everyone here to test this on their phones.
Just say Hey Google, turn on Do Not Disturb. Report what happens. Include the phone model.
I've already sent another bug report on this problem with this update.

On my 4a I get the pop up with the slider option to turn on DND. As far as the routine, I just have it set to turn on at 11:00 p.m. at night and off at 7:00 a.m. . Works fine. I see no issues from my point of view.

The slider does pop up but won't slide it on when I tell Assistant to turn it on or to run a routine. I guess you'll have to wait till the trigger time.

Yeah or just go to the drop-down box in the shade. Even easier than having to say hey Google.
I can't use do not disturb if I'm say, going into a meeting or something because I have certain callers allowed to come through. So in my usage case I prefer to just put it on vibrate/silent and stick it in my pocket.
Hopefully Google will get it straightened out for you at some point

Submitted bug report on dex2oat64 battery drain.
Hopefully it will help getting this resolved.

And now dex2oat64 has disappeared from battery usage, even from the 24 hour list.

Still shows as the number 1 battery user on my phone over the last 24 hours
Yeah, I've been steadily taking my line items and batteries back on my Pixel 5, I'll go on. That one night I'm as disappeared. I am fully charging my battery now on my rapid charger. Shockingly, it disappears completely.

All have I listed in 24 hours of battery usage is a very long list of apps and system apps and not one peep of dex2oat64.

See, the interesting things for me, the fact that earlier today and earlier this afternoon that was the second line item in my battery statue. But now it's nowhere to be seen. It's interesting...

I haven't seen that in my list of apps either and since this last update my battery life is back to how it was on A11. Back to nearly 2 days life. Currently at 51% after 1 day 2 hours.
