Android Wear 2.0 on the ZenWatch 2

As much as I want 2.0, I also fully expect it to suck. 2.0 is designed to work with a scrolling crown. Without that, navigating around takes a whole lot of swiping.

Yeah I was reading this yesterday too. I would like to think they will still at least support and update the existing watches even if they do stop the ZenWatch line going forward but anything is possible I guess. I'm really wanting to try 2.0 but if it means getting a buggy 2.0 and they halt updates right after that and don't iron out the bugs with more updates then maybe it's for the best?

I don't ever want 2.0 I hope there is a way to block it. My watch works great as is.

Finally... AW 2.0 arriving for ZenWatch 2 & 3 on July 11th. Hopefully they stick to that and that it performs well. I've got my Sony Smartwatch 3 as back up if I want to stay on 1.5

Update: Asus has confirmed that the ZenWatch 3 will get the Android Wear 2.0 update on July 11. The ZenWatch 2 update will be released in two waves, the first in July and the second end of July/beginning of August.

I got a new version of Android Wear on my phone a couple of days ago but nothing on my ZW2 yet.

Nah. You have to manually update the system software so of you don't want it then you definitely don't need to. I'll probably regret it but curiosity gets the best of me everytime

You'll probably get prompted for a system update on the watch face. You should be able to decline without any issues.

It appears the ZW3 is now receiving the update. Maybe there is hope yet for the ZW2.

What's wrong with 2.0 that you would not like? Shouldn't 2.0 be good for the zenwatch 2? Reason I ask is I bought an Amazon warehouse zenwatch 2 today and have been researching to the watch in general. Seems like the update to 2.0 would be a good thing for this watch would it not?

I have the Zenwatch 2 and I grew impatient waiting on wear 2.0, so I bought a used Huawei watch with wear 2.0.

I definitely think wear 2.0 will be a good thing for the Zenwatch 2.0. I am excited to hear that it might still happen. I had given up hope.
