Any EB13 Users get the OTA update to EC05? Post here!

To all, don't use ROM Manager to install ClockWorkMod after rooting. The versions of CWM in ROM Manager are not up to date with what we are using on the Epic currently and will cause more headaches than its worth. This also goes for attempting to use ROM Manager for backups and also to boot into recovery, etc.. For now until ROM Manager is updated, it is best to avoid it.

Interested in rooting and installing CWM look below.

BAH I just used ROM Manager to do a back up about 5 min before reading this.

Now I am stuck at the Samsung screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I think I fixed it.
I removed battery.
Booted into CWM.
Then selected reboot.

I got the update by downloading an app/updating one. It still has the draw delay when I exit some apps. It really makes my phone seem really slow or bad when I'm trying to show someone something and then all you see is a blank screen for awhile...

I recieved my update from EB13 to EC05 last night about 7:00PM CST in Austin, TX. All went well and so far no issues.

If you continue to use ROM Manager, use it at your own risk. We have recommended you don't use it so any problems that may arise are of your own doing.

FYI, if you check any of the devs threads for example.. Syndicate/Bonsai/midNIGHT, the list goes on and on you see nobody talking about or recommending ROM Manager.

Yeah the draw delay has barely improved since the leaked DK28 version of Froyo.

I experience it the most when sliding the keyboard open and closed. Also if using an application like Firefox or Opera Mobile and hitting the home button, I think both of them use a lot of system memory while running.

Maybe Gingerbread will solve this, that is of course if we ever get it.

I did odin back to EB13 back when the last froyo was released and yanked. Today got OTA EC005. I was updating another app when it popped up on me today. In Orlando, FL.

Update from EB13 to EC05

My Brother-in-law got his update last night (he had actually received the EB13 automatically prior to it being pulled)

My wife and I received our this morning around 9:30 MDT we had manually updated to EB13.

My Father-in-law updated about 20 minutes ago while we were at lunch 1:30 MDT. He also had manually updated.

Looks like it is rolling out in waves!

I received the update about 1:30cst. Everything seems fine, didn't even have to download Flash 10.2 again. I'll have to see how battery life is over the next few days.

I received the EC05 update from EB13 and have zero problems to report. The only issue I had with EB13 was that it made my phone extremely slow. I am happy to report that the speed is back.

If you are running EB13, with CWM 3.0.0.6/EXT then you will not receive the OTA update.. Once you switched over to CWM3.0.0.6/EXT4 conversion you lost your OTA eligibility. Even though the ROM is "stock" it is still a custom ROM that was flashed to complete the EXT4 file conversion.

You will need to Odin back to stock Froyo EB13 to receive the OTA update. Procedure #1 in the link below is for Froyo EB13

The update bricked my phone, so I am waiting for a replacement from Sprint that should be here tomorrow. Wonder if I will be able to get it again without incident.

just got it, but it does not like launcherpro. Have not found any issues other than that so far.
