does'nt seem like you can change launchers. With eclair you could remove default for launcher settings. any clues?

Received ec05 update (was running eb13 when it came through) on my Epic at about 9:15 pm (new york time). It may have been available a couple of hours earlier but I was not near my phone for a couple of hours. It rebooted fine but I haven't played around with it since the update. Will report back with any problems if any.

I have been on eb13 for about 4weeks I uploaded it from samsung site around march 1st I followed the upload for Mac because the booger were saying it would not wipe the phones info and aps. That went perfect to eb13. Lst night at 11:50 pm the phone prompt for the update available I clicked ok and in less then 5 minutes I had eco5 I did not lose any data or apps everything is working perfect.
Just received the eco5 update from eb13 over the air here in Scottsdale this morning around 8:30.
my wife has nothing but complaints after her update, said she now hates the Epic. apparently you cant move the stock sms/mms folder from any of the screens. she uses Handcent and wants to remove the stock messaging from the screen(s)

Had EB13 from Samsung and phone rooted since January. Received EC05 OTA update last night. Install aborted. Had to reboot several times. Phone now back at EB13.

Bit of bugginess actually
Ok, new user be nice:
Just bought the phone two weeks ago. I went straight to the manual install of EB13, no issues at all. Specifically meant to keep apps and usage to a minimum until Froyo build EC05 was installed.
Got OTA EC05 a few days ago, and actually have seen some bugginess. NES emulator (the free Tiger one) force closes occasionally.
Still the occasional problem with text messages not sending. (Seems to occur after AirplaneMode or DataDeact has been toggled a bit.)
Aside from these, running exactly like EB13 did.
But strange that EC05 would be a little buggy where EB13 was not.
Again, fully stock phone and basically straight from the store.

Ec05 is horrible
So i had my phone since it came out and i did the premature upgrade last year and the phone did not work properly but i just kept using it i got it swapped out with a new epic and i upgraded it to ec05 and now everything force closes and nothing work right i did a factory reset a master reset and nothing worked its still extremely buggy, i am a sprint tech so the only other option i have is rooting and putting a custome rom on it

Los Angeles here. Got my Epic on the release date. *Finally* got EC05 this morning. LauncherPro seems to be working fine. Orientation is slow, but it's been slow since EB13.
I've been offered the EC05 update twice now (once last week, and then again today) and neither time has been successful. Both times I've hit the 'Reboot and Install' button and the phone has rebooted to the Samsung boot screen and stayed there for over 15 minutes without doing anything. Had to remove the battery to power it off and reboot to just get back to my EB13.
Anyone else experience this?

stay with the EC05. for some reason this new update makes my programs running quit unexpectedly. ive reset it twice. and it still does it. im also keeping my apps to a minimum. This is a shame of an update. Ive had bad luck with this phone in general. This is only my personal opinion of course.
