Any of you also use a tablet

I love the damn thing (Surface Pro) ... but I use it more as a computer. Too uncomfortable to use it as a tablet while chilling on the couch for a few hours. Also it is not as portable as the 8.0 tablet to run to the coffee shop and read some news.

If you are willing to kickstand it and use it that way it would be fine, and the battery life onthe 2017 model is great. I have the i5 model and it never lags.

Re: Any of you also usr a tablet

I love that keyboard case! No need to charge it up and the key presses have a really good feel to me. Very responsive too.
Are you happy with the keyboard too?

I had the keyboard case. I returned it because you can't use the tablet while connected to the case in any other position.

Any Note 8 owners also use a tablet? If so, which one? I was thinking about getting a tablet to complement my Note 8. There are a few locally very reasonably priced.
I use an 8 inch Lenovo tab 3 to read books, watch shows and play games on. It's severely under powered but has a decent display and long battery life so it works for what I use it for.

Ended up getting a Samsung Tab A 7" for now. Using it now.
Here's the thing. Depending upon what you are using it for helps make the decision. Now this 7" Tab can be great. The size is really key and can easily fit in a purse or other small bag. I have a Tab S3 and even though it's slim I can't carry it around as "conveniently" as your new Tab.
Enjoy! Good choice!

Have a Nexus 10 but I'm over tablets. IMO, they are just oversized smartphones without the phone part. However, I will be picking up an HP Spectre X360 2 in 1, 15 inch 4K display, 16gb RAM, 512tb SSD, i7 with a Wacom Ink Smart Bamboo stylus in a day or two.

I have a Surface Pro 3 but I really only use it if I need to do something like restore one of my Android phones. Other then that, I am a Mac user and have two iPads, a iPad Mini 2 and a 9.7 iPad Pro. I don't really use the iPads much anymore either even though I bought the Pro in March. I tried selling it on CL and just got a bunch of lowball offers so I kept it. I never bought the pencil for the Pro because I never had a use for one with it. My daily phone is my iPhone 7+.

Note 8 and a Kindle paperwhite. It's a great combo and all I need as far as mobile devices go.

I use an iPad pro 10.5 inch. Still drinking the Mac kool-aid with the exception of the iPhone in favor of the Note8.

Funny, I call a iPad over priced, but bought a $1500 Surface.... LOL

It does do more and when traveling I can still access work stuff, so not exactly the same. They do have the M3 with a KB on sale right now for a steal at I think $800 maybe.

The Surface Pro was not designed to compete against the iPads. It's a completely new form factor. Apple came up with the iPad Pro in response, but it never really gained traction compared to the Surface series.

I've used mine as both and didn't have a problem. I use mine more now as a laptop though; and yes it's a great traveling companion. I throw my Surface dock in my checked bag so I have it available in my hotel room.

I caved and bought a new GalaxyTab S3 with S Pen at Best Buy today. Charging it up right now. Can I transfer/share apps from my Note 8 to the tablet or No? I'm not going to fiddle with it until it's y charged up

Is it still on sale for $479?
