$500 tablet still hurts less than a $929 Note 8. I think the Tab s3 is still overpriced though and it's been out since March. IMO they should lower the everyday price to around $450. Especially if they don't plan on releasing one until fall of 2018.

I'm pretty sure a $300 Tab S2 would hurt less than $500 Tab S3.

Yea, I already got the S2. I could buy the tab s3 for a play toy for home. However, every tablet I've had eventually collects dust when I buy a Note phone because of the bigger screen I end up just using my Note 4,5,8, s8 Plus instead. Easier to carry a Note device around than my tablet. Even around the house easier to have my Note in my pocket and whip it out when I need to look at something than to go fetch my tablet.

never used a tablet in my life, would love one but the ones I want are to expensive to justify it for the use it would get, between the computer in the office, my laptop and the DeX setup with the Note 8 and of course the Note 8 itself I don't see myself giving a tablet much use

I don't have my own laptop. we have a few at home but they're 'old' ones my pc tech hubby is always messing with so they irritate me lol.

I don't have the dex, though I'm a little interested in it.

Yes the Tab S3 was a bit pricey, but I like giving the note 8 a break now and then.

I just realized something. Best Buy has a nice Samsung Laptop for the same price as my S3 tablet. I'm gping to see if I can exchange for it. Like the tablet, but having the full featured laptop along with the Note 8 would be great for me. Will see if that works. Usually returns and 3xchanges there are easy

you would get a DeX cheap enough, it works really well, it was part of the preorder promotion here in Europe so got it free and spent the money I got for my Note 4 on a nice ultra wide LG screen and keyboard /mouse /cables

In my case I would like to give my note a break while using the other device I'm on my way now to exchange the tablet at Best Buy for most likely the Samsung laptop

I want the Tab s3 for my fleamart business I plan on opening in a few months so I can use Square register app and run charge cars via wifi.

My dad won't buy it for me though as an investment in the company. This isn't fair! I have the Tab s2 with Andriod 7.0 my dad says will work fine for it. But I want the newest device!

Why should your dad have to buy it for you? You want something save up and buy it for yourself or just use what you have because it's still as good. There's no reason to buy a new one when the one you have works fine.....

I still love my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 wi-fi-only tablet. Still a great tablet.

I have one with S pen. I sync it with my Note 8. Calendar and a lot of other stuff sync.

Its nice but a new model is due out in '18.
Was $90 on Amazon
a cheap 21" monitor will do fine.

I have a Surface Pro and an 8 inch tablet... I use them for different things. But I could see how they could overlap.

But I don't have a desk top and will probably get a desktop setup for the surface eventually. After we move to a new place this year.

I really like it. Screen looks great and has nice sound too. Also has a Geforce graphics card.
