So you don't want 4k now but you do want it when the iPhone finally catches up? Seems legit

No, I don't want it now because I don't have a 4K TV. By the time I do have a 4K TV the iPhone will likely shoot in 4K too.
Was it clearer that time? The word 'iPhone' seems to have a curious effect on interpretations sometimes.

Exactly. I'm not going out to purchase a 2, 3, or more thousand dollar TV to watch a video recorded on my phone in 4k that I may only watch...once.Yes, I'm sorry I posted that quickly and I didn't even read your post accurately. I didn't mean to use that tone. Also, thank you for clarifying your argument, it makes perfect sense. I read somewhere that 4k is only noticeable on HUGE 50" + screen tvs. So it really isn't a big deal to have a camera that nobody can actually see the difference since 4k tvs are so extremely rare.
The reality is that you have to be very secure in your personhood to be willing to CARRY an iPhone and be seen using it. Look at how many folks here negatively judge just based on what phone a person selects. Seriously, if you're the kind of person that concerns themselves with what others think of you isn't an iPhone the LAST thing you'd want to be seen with!?

I think the "i" word brings out the worst in people on Android forums. I only use it around other "i" users, not in mixed company.![]()
Ok guys listen up.
I've decided to ditch the note 3 for an iPhone 5s. I've realized that 5.7 inches of pure goodness isn't small enough. I prefer a 2 incher but apple doesn't make one, so 4 inch will have to do. I'm tired of customizing to my liking also. At this point in my life, I seriously need my phone manufacturer to tell me what's best for me. Making my own decisions is giving me a headache. Plus, Apple spent thousands of hours researching what I need and I find that just fabulous. FABULOUS! Finally, a company that has done something for me! But the most important thing is that I need to be cool. Super cool. And the only way to achieve this is to own an iPhone. In fact, I'm going to re-do my wardrobe with skinny jeans and button up shirts. I so wanna be Jony Ive. He's my idol. But the real reason I'm switching is because they make this super duper cool alarm clock that only the iPhone fits. I NEED this clock.
So Android, note 3, I bid you farewell.

Probably not. You are looking at two opposing philosophies in a lot of ways, which naturally encourages a certain dissonance. Regardless of what camp a person belongs to, there should be reasonable respect to what the other side has to offer. I go back and forth between iOS and Android all the time because I see the value in both. Even though I have a Nexus 5 now, I wouldn't say that it is better than the iPhone 5S that I came from. If I had to fully commit to either platform, I could basically flip a coin and be completely content with either.I think you're right but I just keep having hope that things will change. Not gonna happen anytime soon it seems.

I just read on Flipboard that the iPhone 6 will have 4K recording. It's all speculation at this point but I don't see why they wouldn't include it....except for maybe wanting to wait and include it in the "S" model. Regardless, either way, the iPhone will have it.
Have you seen the new Samsung 4K TV at Best Buy? It is simply amazing. For anyone saying the difference is negligible between 55 inch 4K and 1080p is sadly mistaken.
Agreed the TVs have a stunning picture.. I just zone out on it.. Then look at the price.. Then become sad.
