Anyone switching back to iPhone?

So out of curiosity, how many of you iPhone fans are older (50+)? I started gravitating toward bigger phones the older I got. I still have to wear glasses to read as it is but the Note makes it a lot easier. The iPhone would require downright squinting. And you're right about one thing. Apple can make a device where everything always works simply because they have very few devices to worry about and because they control the environment so much. There is simply no way to guarantee performance with an Android device due to the sheer volume of hardware out there. I think most knowledgeable users out there understand what they're getting with an Android phone: extreme customization but with the understanding that you will forever need to tweak this or change that. It's the nature of the beast. That said, I have NO complaints about my Note 3 at this point. I suspect that by the time I do, I'll be moving onto the Note 4.

38 here and it wasn't because of eyesight problems going to a big screen I just had had enough of Apple.

I don't understand what's so small on the iPhone? What can't people see?

They're selectively visually challenged because they don't want to use an iPhone at the moment me thinks.

I guess so, because looking at the screen, the icons and text are about the same size on just about every device that I have used in recent years. I also, wonder what they did just a few years ago when the iPhone screen was one of the biggest in the industry.

It's not that most can't see it.. It is just harder or not as big as some would like it.

It's like having a mid range TV compared to my 60. Can I see on my old 40 inch in my room? Yes.. But I prefer the 60 :).

I can understand that. I just can't relate when others say they have to squint to see anything on the iPhone's screen. I have the luxury of having larger iOS devices, so if I want to view something on a bigger screen, I can. However, I have never found watching videos, looking at webpages, or reading any material on the iPhone to be less than adequate.

You can see everything, but after you have the Note 3 for a week and pick up another phone iphone or in my case the razar maxx that I gave to my wife.

I picked it up a week later to show her something in the settings and was helping her get acclimated with the razr maxx. I was squinting and struggling to make out what was on the screen. (My 8yr year old looks at me struggling and wants to know why, she looks puzzled and says but it was your phone a few days ago??)

My eyes adjusted to the note 3 and anything smaller seems.....small. needless to say when my upgrade comes just in time for the Note 4, I will sell my Note 3 and get the Wife the Iphone 5S. Android vs Apple?? I just think she needs the out of the box experience of Apple. I want and need a device that I can customize to my specs.

I use my Ipad less these days, but I still use it.

I have an iPad Air and rMini. Neither of those make my iPhone feel small and they are much larger than the Note 3.

To you it will not because you are constantly bouncing between devices similar to dkhmwilliams

My phone and ipad are with me always. Once I transferred everything to the Note 3, played with it non stop for 3-4 days trying to configure and utilize everything available on my new device. Only then did other devices look smaller including my razr maxx.

Spend a few days with a note 3, no cheating with other devices be they tablets or other cellular devices. Then on the 4th day pick up that Iphone and you will understand what most users (not all) are experiencing.

I have had that experience. I owned the Note 3 for about a month. And you are correct, when you use it for a while and then compare it with a device like the iPhone, it does seem significantly bigger. But it still doesn't make text or any other visuals hard to see on the iPhone's screen. What I did miss about the Note's screen size was playing games. Having to use gaming controls on the screen made a bigger screen more desirable. My children also liked the bigger screen of the Note 3. I remember when I first got it, my daughter wanted to use it non-stop. She would watch Netflix on it while we were driving in the car. Once, the battery drained in my Note 3 and she couldn't watch the movie anymore. My wife offered her iPhone 5 and my daughter (5 years old) scoffed at it. She said it was too small and that she wanted daddy's phone. She waited patiently as I charged the phone in the car (which took a long time) refusing to use the iPhone. I tell this story to say, I do understand that there is a segment that loves big screens on phones, my daughter would be one of them. But just because someone likes big phones doesn't mean their smaller screen counterparts are inadequate. Not saying that's what anyone else is saying. But it seems like that's implied at times.

I agree that some imply their preference is the only logical choice.

I have the N3 and uses it more for my job, but I keep an iPhone as well. Now I'm trying the Flex.

How do you like the Flex? Is the 720p screen really indistinguishable from a 1080p display at the size?

@Haalcyon I like it and the screen has been fine for me. I can only tell if I'm comparing my N3 and the Flex. Other than that it has been a great phone so for for me. The reviews are off in my opinion.

LG makes a solid, well-thought device IMO so I wouldn't expect the Flex to be anything but a good product.

I use both, but lately my iPhone 5 has been freezing at inopportune times and I'm bored with it. I think it's an Apple conspiracy to force you to upgrade after a year. It spends most of the time unused now

The problem with that is when you upgrade, you're basically getting the same device with a few extra bells and whistles. At least if I get bored of my Note 3 (NOT going to happen), I have a LARGE slection to choose from if I want to stay Android.
