I enjoy reading these post and know several people who have i phones and love them. I have always had android never had or have a desire to own an apple but to each his own. I know some of you like both and some go from one to the other. But that purple one is so pretty. My coworker went from Android to Apple and has a 12 pro max I think it is and it's so big and wide I held it and didn't like it but I have small hands. I have a popsocket on my 22U now. But I do like the 14 pro max and that purple color and I'm sure it's a great phone and I know i phones have great cameras and people like i messages. But I'll stick to android and those who are getting the new i phone I hope you enjoy it. I have a Samsung watch also and i am just used to Android.

Yes the pro max is sooooo wide (and heavy) which I opted for the pro. S22 Ultra is like the biggest I can handle. I will say I haven't even received my pro and I'm already regretting it lol. Just knowing that the UI isn't my favorite. I really want to try to dynamic island even though I know it's not a make or break feature. I'm so invested in the Samsung ecosystem that I can't use any other devices my daily driver. I love picking up my flip and how sleek it is. Also that I can pick up my S22 Ultra and finish things that I've started on the flip. Interesting couple of days but I'm going to try and give the iPhone a fair shot at least as my second driver.

I've had the pro series for awhile I want the bigger screen on the max , hopefully get a shipping notice soon .

It's so funny because you know I've been checking forums and things non-stop. What I'm seeing is people with a pro are opting for the max and people with the max are opting for the pro lol. I guess after a while you get tired and want to try something different. I'm really excited to see what they do with aod and if it's something that Android can benefit from by adapting. This should keep me busy until the Pixel 7 pro comes out

I heard from another team member the watch will do this with AOD , yeah strange how it flips like that pro owners going to max and max going pro but probably like you mentioned change it up .

The Apple Watch Ultra was my favorite part of the presentation. If Samsung or Google thought they were catching up in the Watches... Apple just set the bar higher.

My S22U is my primary but my Xr is my running/outdoor phone and pretty much stays in my daily backpack with me... I might just get the Apple Watch Ultra... S22 ULTRA paired with an Apple Watch ULTRA LOL.

In the past I wouldn't think of using an Apple Watch as my running watch and always used a Garmin but with the specs and capabilities, I don't see an issue now. My Co-worker watching the presentation with me is a diver and his primary is an iPhone but he's ready to pre-order the Ultra first day saying it sounds like it will be a fine dive computer.

iPhone presentation was ok. I've been using iOS 16 beta so been enjoying some of the new features like the AOD/lock screen. Good use of the revised notch/pill. Stuff like keeping sports scores and using it to expand other apps like music, etc.

2000 nit screen!! I believe it surpasses our S22U screen capabilities!

Satellite emergency calling, etc... 20 zoom camera that will keep me on my S22U and possibly S23U but they did have improvement that no doubt picture/video quality will be again bumped up a notch. Little things but they add up keeping the iPhone a monster in it's class.

It’s not the full featured AOD that we now have seen shown on the 14 Pro model but when I first put iOS 16 on my IPhone Xr one of the new features is a more customizable Lock Screen as I showed above that gave me a little handful of widgets I can add to it for info like the weather and stocks I think a couple of more I forgot which was certainly better than what I could have on my iPhone Lock Screen before that. So at the time I called it AOD because honestly, to me it’s pretty much does the same thing I have my AOD do on my S22U.

Now that the presentation is out and they showed what an fully capable AOD in 14 Pro can do… do I not say my Xr has AOD?? Or do I say it has samsung like AOD but not the full features Apple 14 Pro AOD?

Update: Added screenscot of the lock screens from my Xr with 16 beta and my S22U lockscreen... Geez, the Samsung AOD is getting dated looking eh?? Also I just found out I don't get my battery percentage back on iOS16 on my Xr... only a 14 feature too. Apple!!!!!

Oh my bad, my bad!!... I guess I took the new lock screen features from IOS 16 as part of their always on display update when I forgot forgot that "Always On" does mean "Always on" when the screen is locked and I guess my iPhone XR can't do that. Duh.

The reason I forgot is that in my always on display settings on my Samsung I've always used tap to show.

Samsungs official word on it is < 1% per hour battery drain" which comes to about 8-10% in a full day and even though I've said the battery life is good... Not great but not bad... but ok with tap to show then use 10% a day to just check the time. Since I also have my iPhone show my lock screen by tapping I guess that's how I associate it with always on display. Will be interesting how much battery iPhone will use with AOD.

I just found out I don't get my battery percentage back on iOS16 on my Xr... only a 14 feature too. Apple!!!!!

I have it on my XS Max but I had to enable it. Go to battery settings and check it out.
