Are you doing Dome Glass, Stock or something else?

My wife has the Dome on her S9+ and mine for my S10+ just arrived today. She has had her protector crack once on a drop and the protector broke but the screen was in perfect shape. I can't definitively say that the protector prevented the screen from breaking but it is just that extra layer of protection. The key is finding a case that properly fits with the Dome to prevent it from lifting.

My dome cracked after a drop but I can't say for sure that the screen would have broken without it. I don't intend to find out either.

My experience with Dome has been horrible with the S10. I have used their products on my Iphone and pixel along with my sons and wife XR and never had an issue. It just has not worked for me on the 10. Finger print reader simply does not work enough of the time. The worst part is their customer service has been beyond bad. Bad enough that I will actively see out other producers of this type of screen protector. I actually did try a different one, forget the name, and had the same bad result with the finger print reader. While theirs did not have the frame to ensure perfect alignment, it still went on just fine and it was the exact same quality. 19.99 though.

Gobukee perhaps?

Lesson learnt, if you going to spend top banana money on a device use protection for the screen!

After factory installed screen protector got damaged in a fall, I removed it. I was relieved that the screen wasn't damaged.

So I decided to use the device without a screen protector, It was all good till last week when I dropped my device and fell face flat, screen did not break but there are minor scratches now. I got the Ringke Screen Protector, finger print works perfect but plastic feels very rubbery.

There are some scratched near the RGB sensor so I want something that will cover the full display, so that it hides the scratches. Ringke for now is doing the job but I think I will remove it in a few days.

Because the Whitestone uses a liquid adhesive it may hide some scratches.

Yeah the plastic film don't feel as nice especially after they wear a bit

Not even 24 hours since I installed the screen protector, sadly I had to remove it! I need to get hold of Whitestone dome... They don't have them in Kuwait yet.

The Dome has to be replaced every 2 or 3 months, why not just use samsung premium care, then you can pay 99 dollars to get a new phone?

Why anyone would do that is beyond me. You get a refurbished phone mostly likely and there is limit to how many times you can do that.

I've never heard this, I can't imagine changing it every quarter at 60 bucks a pop.

My experience with the Dome is it is the premium protection you want due to the xtra layer of protection. Cracked my old S7 Edge once falling flat on it's face with a plastic protector and won't chance this S10+ to the same damage.

I find after the fingerprint update it works much better with the dome. This is my second installation because of the right upper and lower side lifting but i chalk it up to the Spigen Touch armor case i am using. I am putting up with it because i prefer a clip on belt holster/case setup.

Even after replacing the dome i did not re-register my FP. Granted i have 3 FP setup to cover all bases. Still if your finger is dry, forget it. It won't work. I use Pin until my FP gets a little back to normal.

I had a much cheaper protector on my Pixel since October and I only removed it to put on a Whitestone for review a couple of weeks ago. It was still pristine when I removed it.
My Whitestone on my S10+ didn't fair so we'll. It cracked because of a drop. I would have left it on because the adhesive held it together so well you could hardly notice. As luck would have it the crack was across the FPS which made the FPS impossible to use. I got a replacement for 10 bucks.

New first time is $60 but any replacements are "free" but you pay for the shipping like $10.
Includes a new protector, plastic shell and 2 adhesive bottles.

Pretty much everthing except the UV light.

Still using the stock screen protector on my S10+. Looked at the LifeProof Fre (what I had on my S7) but didn't like the steps you had to go through to get the FPS to work under their screen protector. Will stick with the stock one for now. Made a little holder for my phone for when I put it in my backpack or fanny pack, to minimize accidental scratching. So far so good.

Correct me if im wrong, a screen protector will not prevent the screen from breaking. A high impact will break any glass screen, since the protectors cant absorb the shock from impact. But they will prevent scratches and such. Cases will absorb the shock from impact. I have the note 8, havent used a screen protector since my note 3. My wife has the note 10+, high impact case (otterbox commuter), no screen protector she specifically told me to not buy an otterbox defender case. My note 8 is almost 2 years old. Literally only minor scratches.

A film screen protector wont save your screen but will protect from scratches, the glass gives better odds to save your screen with light impact ,but hard enough drop or impact it can can break screen also.

Has anyone used liquid protector? Not as adhesive but the actual protector is liquid? I used on my s9 and liked it but with this fickle fingerprint scanner on s10+, not so sure. I've done some searching in forums but wasn't sure if they were referring to a liquid protector overall or just as the adhesive.

my advice if your already having issues with fingerprint scanner, stick with the stock one or similar.

The liquid protector will allow the FPS to work but doesn't offer much protection. Some do include insurance against breakage.
