Are you doing Dome Glass, Stock or something else?

Which brand are you using? I recommend Samsung's film protector. It works well and feels more premium than the average film protector. I think it cost me about $40 with shipping and such; but you get two film protectors so you have a backup.

Actually the ones offered on the Samsung site were the first that I looked at, me assuming that they would be the OEM protectors, and they had terrible reviews. This sent me to YouTube and online looking for the next best thing. I found these, not sure what the steps were that lead me to them, but they had good reviews, an online how-to video and a price that didn't break the bank...

At 10 Euro I got two and figured even if I didn't like them I could afford to try another. Yours @ $40, for another $10 you could have had a Dome.

I too heard that the Samsung film protectors had bad reviews. I guess in all cases, others' impressions and user experiences will vary! Thank you for the link, I'll check it out!

Ah yes, Dome. That's the one that has a bit of a complex installation process. I was in a huge hurry to get a solid protector on the phone (I had a bad experience ordering a product from Amazon) and I wanted to stick with Samsung because I knew it would work with my S10's in-display fingerprint sensor.

However I did hear that Dome is an awesome product and works really well with the in-display fingerprint sensor! I'm glad you ended up finding a product that worked for you!

>Just based on the reviews I read it didn't seem to be the OEM protector that they were selling. If it had, I probably would have tried it anyway even with the bad reviews because exactly like you said each user's experience is different. I personally liked the OEM protector and given that or this, I would take that any day.

>This was why I too wanted to try the Dome product. Aside from the price, my hesitance came from the installation process. I feared gluing something to the screen of the device. Then after seeing how long the oleophobic coating lasted on the OEM protector made me realize that I would have the same issue with the Dome product and would be forced to replace it also. While some say that heating it up makes it easier to remove that assurance was not enough for me.

I have a dome on my S10+. It was expensive but I can get replacement screens if I need them. The only issue is that mine is lifting from the left top edge and looks a bit awful. I could remove it and clean it and reinstall it. But I can't be bothered at the moment. So I have left it in place until it breaks or I feel compelled to sort it out.
