Are you happy with your s6 Active

I will buy it if the battery is really awesome.

It's pretty frigging awesome..

I found out that by switching the settings for locations to GPS only the cell standby issues have gone away. I have been off the charger for 5.25 hours and it isn't even showed up on the battery stats yet..

Just got the news that the S6 active comes with a larger capacity battery , Say 13.48Wh(3500mAh). Hope it can work longer.Otherwise. I will not have the S6 active.

Just got mine. Spent many hours setting up and tweaking. So far i love it.

One thing I dont get, or at least am not familiar with, is the trusted places/devices stuff. (This is my first lollipop phone). I use to use an app called SkipLock to do this on my earlier phones.

Trusted devices is sorta simliar with bluetooth and i can use the location to mimic wifi (i know when i'm home) -> Though it sure seems easier to me to just use wifi, or have that as an option rather then geoloc.

But overnight, i had a message that 'it wasnt used for 4 hours , so turning lock on'. Well im still at home, so why would it make me do that? Is there a way to turn that off?

Also, how reliable is the trusted voice and 'on-body detection' options? Do any of you guys use them?

Sorry gang, one more question:
I play a 3rd party chess game that has the option to use the notification light (and set the color) when its my move. This doesnt work, I mean i get a notification but the light never blinks to let me know its my turn. Is this an app problem or a phone/os problem? Is there any way to figure it out?

The first few days I used it like I normally did my iphone 5. Had around 70% left on the battery at the end of the day. I would normally have 30-40% on the iphone. Since then I have been using it more and get down around to 30-40% range at the end of the day. That is with a lot of customizing and playing with different launchers etc.

I been getting around 3-4 SOT on average, with the best being 5 hrs and the worst being 1hr.... As you can guess, this battery life is fairly disappointing, considering what some of you guys have mentioned and shown. I am trying to decide whether to go into the Best Buy to get an exchange before my exchange period is over.

In terms of my usage, I am mostly on facebook, reddit, email, and messenger each day. I also have a smartwatch connected to my phone. I also have the Material design theme installed. I am seeing about 2-3% drain on standby. I have also tried playing youtube videos for an hour, and it drains about 15% in that hour. It feels like my battery is draining away at a fairly high pace even (or especially) when I don't use the phone.

I have been uninstalling/disabling most apps that is a battery drain, and it barely squeezed out more battery life. Of course, I also have just about every single pre-installed bloatware app disabled. I have also restricted background data to a few apps ( in particular, Google Play Service) to try to reduce some of the background processing that can cause battery drain.

I love this phone so far, the only thing that bugs me is the AMOLED screen, the thoughts of screen burn in worry me some. IPS could burn in but I have seen AMOLED more often with it. It is an amazing looking screen however.

I am sure it will be fine, I myself have not had a problem with burn in, just have seen others with it and of course the demo units. The demo units of course are on full time with full brightness so that could be unfair.

Im disappointed with battery life so far. 3-4 hours to fully charge. And only 12 hrs life?

Other Than that it's a real pleasure to use.

You have something very wrong if it takes you that long to fully charge. Mine charges from 5% to fully charged in 1hr 20 minutes .........Either your charger is bad or your battery is.

Something is wrong with your phone if that is what you're getting.

Got my Active on Saturday. Got 5 hours of screen on time the first day. Gonna hammer the usage today to see how much battery I have left after 6 hours SOT!

As others have said, this doesn't seem right...

Are you using the included Samsung charger to charge the phone and plugging it into a wall outlet? In order to benefit from the "Quick Charge 2.0" technology, you need to be using a Quick Charge 2.0 charger. If so, maybe you should try doing a factory reset and start fresh.

14 hours, with three hours to charge.
Disappointing. We need a survey!
