I figure some reviewers might be able to compare other phones' reception and call quality from the same location. But you're absolutely right - I'd ultimately have to test the phone out myself. My Sprint coverage in LA is pretty decent, but in my apartment it goes up and down like a radar scope even standing in the same spot.

I've had a Pre since release in June 2009. I'm up for a new phone and was strongly considering the Evo 3D vs. the Nexus or even the potential Galaxy II S/Within. I've also read rumors of a Sensation-like phone for Sprint. I'm not going to wait till Fall. Two years with a phone that has a slick OS but has not kept up with applications or tech is long enough.

If we should really FOLLOW these reviews (bad ones), we'd never buy or owned any PHONES.

If every review on the EVO 3D was POSITIVE - I'd probably hesitated on getting one. Lmao.
