AT&T Note 9 Not Updating

What did it say using sd card way?

I’m trying it again. It’s doing this right now. It didn’t do this earlier. How long does it normally take from this process? It’s been like this for a few minutes.

Okay it finally moved on from that and rebooting now. Will that be it? I don’t have to do anything else except check update to see if I can get pie now?

I read somewhere someone reset their phone after doing an update

The files are here in this forum
You'll need a sd card to copy to then restart your phone in recovery and let it load up .
Recovery is easy all you have to do restart device before screen turns on hold Bixby, volume up , power button same time then you'll andriod bot release you'll be in recovery mode with a menu you scroll down with volume up and down buttons to you see sd card update choose with the power button you'll see the file you copied hit power button one more time and wait for it to load 15 to 20 minutes.
Very Easy what do you think ?

I am having the same issues too. Just making sure I try to download the same files that I need to successfully get the update. My security version is SMR Aug-2018 Release 1 "Android security patch level August 1, 2018"

You have to refresh my memory August build are last 4 build number?

I have smartswitch on my phone but dont know what to do. No I do not know how to flash through odin

Before we do anything download smart switch to your computer and hook your phone up see if u can update through it.

So connecting it to smartswitch says its up to date.

Ok go to Samsung firmware science
Put in your device and current build which is ARH4 Tap it and it will give options download ARJ7 to computer then copy to your sd card and we go from there.
You know how to apple the update in recovery?

Made a new account just to post here. First off great support by mustang7757!

I was stuck on N960USQS1ARI5, the September patch. Wouldn't update with Smart Switch on PC either. I was about to try the SD card shenanigans when I found a simpler solution!

Turn off auto date/time AND change the date to a few days ahead.

After checking for updates again, the phone connected to the "DM server" (device maintenance) and the update started downloading. You'll still have to go through the updates sequentially, but subsequent checks worked just fine for me. You do need to wait for the update to finalize in between updates for the DM server to connect. Hope this helps someone!

I try this all the time. It has never worked. Now I just wait until the files get uploaded here.
I agree mustang7757 is awesome ( so is Ruben) . He and Ruben helped get me off of the July security in December and they helped get me to pie with the January security. Me and January are friends for now. Lol
