Atrix Pre-Order Issues

Ok, well I feel a whole lot better not. After I hung up the phone I was thinking, "Dang, I should've asked about what exactly is standard shipping." Glad to know it isn't 5-day. Thanks for the info Derek!!

I just got that email also. Seems to be a good indication that the Feb. 22nd date is legit.
 
Ok I just called premiere and they were absolutley no help at all. All she could confirm is my order still showed processing. No idea why the money was put back. She put me on hold 4 times figuring that out and I finally gave up and hung up.

My fears are eased...

I just got off the phone with premier and here is what they told me about the charge showing up on my account as pending for three days and then disappearing. Matthew told me that this is perfectly normal. He said that what they do is put a "pending" charge through to make sure that the account is active/valid. The charge automatically is dropped from your account unless AT&T tells them to go ahead and put the charge through. Once your order has been assigned a shipping number they will re-charge your account for the original amount. :cool:

I think this is what some pay-at-the-pump gas stations do. They will put a pending charge of $XX dollars on your account prior to pumping to make sure account is active/valid and then run you actual charge through once you finish pumping. As an aside, I got screwed on this a couple of times in college...wanted to pump $5 worth of gas and had $6 in my account but the pump was trying to authorize for over $6.

That's a negative. But over on AT&Ts Facebook page they are saying, repeatedly, that preorders will ship for arrival on 02/21. With that being Monday I would assume they will ship them tomorrow.

Dang! I gave my office address as I thought it will come on a weekday and I might be at work! Monday being a holiday, I'll have to wait till tuesday to pick it up from my office's mail department :(

that sucks. here is something to try.

if it does ship tomorrow and you get a tracking number, call FedEx/UPS (whoever they use) and asked to have the package redirected.

Mine finially switched from back ordered to just in progress, idk why but it had me worried lol. Im stoked we should have ours in the mail monday !

i am getting concerned as i just got off the phone with premier rep, at first i was stoked because he stated my order is being processed and should ship tomorrow, then i asked about recording stating that the order says back ordered, so he says let me check another app to review the status and inventory, 2mins later he states yes it is confirmed you order is back ordered as there is a huge amount of preorders that are backordered, so i have completely lost my confidence in there answers. well i guess i will just sit on the sidelines and hope it gets processed with everyone else.

I stopped by the local COR store and they stated that it was definitely going to be for sale on Tuesday. So I'm sure pre-orders will be processed by then...well most of them. Mine still says "back-ordered" so I don't know. Also, my checking account still has the money as pending. My confidence that I'll have this on Monday is very very low.

I think the lesson we should take away from all this is: don't preorder from AT&T.
 
Yeah, the rep in my AT&T store today said they should have them in March as well. I think we'll all just go crazy if we keep listening to everything we're told. :P
