when will i need this info?

also, when i put phone in download mode, i take out battery, while holding volume key down, is this all done while plugged into computer with dubug or w.e selected?

when do i put battery back in?

You can unplug your phone when your phone is completely rebooted and acting normal.

And i don't understand the phone button question. I just think he means that if you do the wrong thing and hit the wrong button you can mess up your phone and brick it.

You only do that when your in a recovery mode. It's how you navigate them.

so after i flash clockwork, i go into rom manager, and i reboot into recovery... thats when i use those instructions?

also, please clarify about when to unplug and when to plug and the entire download mode please lol. Right now, im sitting at computer with usb connected to computer and phone next to it.....walk me step by step from there?

I plug in, open up back, while holding down i take out battery? when do i put back in?

im scared about the not touching phone part....

Ok, have you installed the Samsung 32 bit drivers on the computer?

If so, turn your phone off. Wait about 15 seconds to make sure it's fully off. Unplug the USB cable from the phone (assuming it was plugged in). Now, hold *just* the down volume button and plug in the USB cable (make sure the other end of the cable is plugged into the computer, of course).

Windows should make a noise indicating that something was attached. It has to be the "yes, something is attached and working" noise, not the "Oh ****, something was attached but it's not working" noise.

If you get the good noise, start Odin. There's a bunch of large white boxes with smaller boxes beneath. The first smaller box with ID:COM above it will light up, I believe, yellow, if it's detecting your phone.

Do not proceed. Let us know if you got this far and if that little box is lit up.

its slowly moving now finally... jsut a bit... i know im taking up alot of your time im sorry.. please hang with me i would be lost without you

Ok sorry, you can put your battery back in as soon as you see it's in download mode.

I don't about that one, and i wouldn't use anything that is for another phone. It could mess up your phone.

I'm sorry i can't help you with the mac aspects.

You'll need more than just bootcamp... you have to install bootcamp and then fully install Windows... and that's a whole other ball of wax...
