BAMF Forever 1.10 FINAL is out

How about OTA? As far as I know you can't use the pushed update when on a custom ROM. Does that mean the only way to use updated radios is to flash them? If so then I'll just wait for the next one/when I'm on LTE to flash.

Now that you have a custom ROM you will NOT see any OTA pushes. And the ONLY way to update your Radio is to flash it.

BTW, flashing a radio is the easiest thing... much easier than flashing a ROM... just go to the "[Tbolt] How to for ROMs" link in my signature (it goes to a sticky thread at the top of this forum)... scroll down to Post #3... very short instructions... easy.

Anyone else not getting the lock screen working properly? I don't see any of the 4 quick apps, just the circle to unlock

Work fine for me... are you going into the Lock screen settings after you long press the any open spot on any screen, then the Settings of one of the lock screens???

Another question... what version are you running, and what ROM did you have before you loaded this version??? In other words did you wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before installing this version, or do something different? Plus did you delete the BAMF_Extras folder before flashing the version???

Sounds good. eHRPD hasn't been working since the gingerbread OTA. I've been using rev. A. Will a new radio fix the issue?

I've been having problems with eHRPD also and it's been the same with any ROM or combination of radios I've tried so I'm sticking with rev A now as that gives me a solid connection.

Weird. I don't think it's a geographic issue but to be certain: do you live in southern NH?

Also is anyone else experiencing sluggish performance on this ROM/kernel? I lowered the vm heap size to 32 mb, put my system tuner pro app memory management to aggressive, and put the CPU however to smoothass with the largest range (250-1400MHz). Still slow when turning the screen on or off, or navigating any part of Android.

You know what it was? The weather wallpaper. Shame because it's so pretty but honestly this runs smooth as butter with a static background. Screen on still isn't as snappy as I'd like it to be all the time but I still need to see what the cause of that is. Battery life is absolutely stupendous compared to what it used to be. Haven't calibrated the battery yet but after a full day I'm at 40%!

I also noticed that the lock screen clock widget took 86 MB! That's absurd. So live wallpapers off, lock screen widgets off, the phone runs like butter. Brand new phone:thumbup:

Quick question: why does the wallpaper process take 50 MB even even it's a static wallpaper? Also how do I get wallpapers to pan with the home screen? I really miss that.

I loaded up IMO's kernel 5.1.0 with this to see if it made any difference with the occasional lag and then used the speed tweak to overclock (option 2). I must say it has been prefect. No lag at all. Seems too be a good combination for me. Anyone else have good luck with this kernel, and if so what settings did you use?

Sent from my Bamf'd Thunderbolt

I use the normal option (1), but this has fixed all of my lag issues. Quadrant score went from 1600 to nearly 2100 after this too, pretty happy with the advice I got to go back to this one.

is anyone using wheres my droid app?
and if you have any problems after this flashing this rom??
my phone cant no longer get gps from other devices

It's a problem with the kernel they included with the final release. It runs blazing fast for some and atrocious for others. I was a part of the latter group. I had to switch out for imos lean kernel and it ran fine after that. I still switched out to gingeritis 3d.

Bamf 09 and everything prior ran better than 10.

So i just flashed from 1.09 to 1.10 and looks like the radios are still there. Do I need to reflash the radios or do they stay even when wiping and flashing to a new ROM?

Everything is working great so far so I wasnt sure.

radios always stay, roms dont come with raidos

ok, so where do I find IMO's kernel to install (major lag issues for me)? And, do I need to wipe data to install it? Or just cache and delvik?

Check the stickies in the thunderbolt forum on team bamf. There should be a thread on kernels there. Flash the latest one: 3++. You'll need to re calibrate your battery but it's eliminated all lag on my device.

I am running BAMF 1.05. I was finally able to install my first ROM, and I used ROM Manager which seeing this forum now shows my ROM is not exactly new. Items in the toolkit don't work, that's the one minor thing.
I am guessing I should wipe if I go to 1.10, anyone know if ROM Manager actually gets new ROMs, or doesn't it update that often?

Recommend: Don't use ROM Manager for anything except flashing Recovery!!!

Use the http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html on how to install a ROM using Recovery... it's how you should install a ROM... download the ROM using your PC or your device's browser and save it to your SD card... then follow the directions.

Thanks , that's what I ended up doing. I am trying to restore my app settings via Titanium and normally it works fine, now it just sits there doing nothing. I have a password and it should pop up, but it stalls out. Restarted the phone, still nothing.

Edited to add: Resolved, had to turn on USB Debugging to get it to prompt for password to start.

I had extreme sluggishness from 1.10 so I flashed the 3++ kernel, and it improved it 100%.

I didn't clear data, just dalvik cache and the cache partition.
As stated above, go to Team BAMF's site after searching I found the 3++ kernel, again it improved 1.10 considerably for me.

I want to know also. I'm new to this flashing custom ROMs thing. Do I paste the .zip file to the root of my SD card then flash from recovery like a ROM?
