Battery Life EB01

so, would you say the voodoo kernel offers better battery life over the nonvoodoo kernel?

Voodoo has absolutely nothing to do with battery life, it simply changes the file system on two partitions. It's like saying a notebook with a hard drive formatted with NTFS will have better battery life than the same one formatted with Fat32. The two things just aren't related.

Now comparing DL30/EB01 Voodoo kernels to older DJ05/DL09 or previous kernels, you might see a distinct difference in battery life, but that's because many of the older kernels were undervolted and the current ones are not (and can not be until source is released).

But yea, Voodoo and battery life are totally unrelated.

i went from dl30 to froyo 2.4 superclean and my battery life went to complete crap. i can turn on the screen for 5 minutes and it drops 2%, then use task killer, turn off screen, check it 20 minutes later and its down 2% more. it was fine before i installed the rooted froyo

Why don't you try 2.9...also why are you using task killer thats def not helping

Watch the language please task killers kill off processes the phone needs to run efficently...android is not like windows or ios..its made to multi task effciently. And many apps share processes. also just cause you see them in the managemwnt windows doesnt mean they are ruining...if u absolutelty need to shut an app down hold down the home button and use native task manager

Our phones come with a built in task manager. hold down the home soft key and the task manager window will pop up. Click on the gray task manager bar, and all running apps will be displayed, click the "end" after each one you want to close

sorry about the language. i unistalled ATK...ill see if that helps at all

source code isnt out for fascinate froyo yet so no its not over clockable, and why would you want to do that after having battery life problems?

yea. i know about that..but i thought there might be hidden programs running that dont show up in that one....i remember when i first bought it. the salesman in the store told me to install it right then. lol
